Abetalipoproteinemia
Abetalipoproteinemia is also known as Bassen Kornzweig Syndrome. It is an autosomal recessive trait and is a rare disorder. In this disease the absorption of dietary fat, vitamins and cholesterol absorption is affected and the most of the symptoms are due to the deficiency of vitamins. The patients are not able to make the beta lipoproteins in the body which are responsible for the absorption of the dietary vitamins, cholesterol and other dietary fats and transferring them to the blood stream.

What does it mean when a dr says that your red blood cells r high ?
This is for my sister as shes 3 mths pregnant and been told this by her gp,she has an appt with the gp Monday.
Thanks for all your great answers so far,its not nothing to do with her iron levels as shes been tested for this already and dehydrated well i dont think its this either as she drinks loads.Its something to do with her vitamin level being low.

hai am 24 year old female,sir my period is started on 20/02/2010 and its stopped on 28/02/2010. i had unprotected sex with my b f on 2nd of this month at 10 am and i had taken ipill on 3rd march at 9.30 am after 5 days (9/03/2010) found veginal bleeding and it stopped on 15/03/2010.is there any chances of pregnency is there please help and as per this when should i go for pregnency test
