Penis consists of two main parts, the shaft and the head. Head of the penis is also called as glans of the penis or the glans penis. Urine and semen are excreted from the body through a small opening at the tip of the glans. In the newborn the shaft and the glans of the penis are covered by a single continuous layer of skin.
Paraphimosis
Paraphimosis is a condition in which the foreskin once pulled back behind the glans cannot be brought down to the original position. It is an uncommon condition and occurs less often than Phimosis.
Phimosis
Phimosis is tightness of the prepuce or foreskin of the penis which prevents the retraction of the foreskin over the glans. It usually is congenital but also can occur following an infection.
Bent penis
Bent penis is abnormal bending or curvature of the penis. Peyronie's disease is a severe curvature of the erect penis. Many men have a slight curve of the penis. As long as there is no pain or problem with sexual performance, men with a slightly curved penis should not be concerned and do not need to see a doctor.
