Doctor :
are you on any medications for anxiety?
User :   and no i was on lexapro and it made things even worst
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :
I suggest you to meet your PCP and get evaluated for these anxiety and panic attacks
User :   i was fine for about 2 days and then again today i havent felt good i went to gym and i was ok
Doctor :
i will also suggest you few anxiety management tips that will help you
User :   but why do i get this one day and not another im in no kind of stress right now
Doctor :   also I would recommend that you should be put on medications for this and if Lexapro has not worked ask your PCP to prescribe you an alternative, but do not stop taking medications on you own that are prescribed to you
Doctor :
Anxiety and panic attacks can come anytime, it need not be that a physical or a visible stress factor has to be present
Doctor :
they can come with small emotional and mental changes or minute changes in your surrounding environment.
Doctor :   so what you are having now is probably a mild anxiety attack
User :   but i was ok this mornin then little by little started getting chest pain went to gym i was fine then 20minutes later started feeling this hot flush feeling in chest
Doctor :
try to relax yourself by taking deep and long breaths
Doctor :
sit in a comfortable position
Doctor :
listen to your favorite music/soothening music
Doctor :
take a nice warm shower, talk to your friends, go out for a walk
User :   i get up from a chiar and i get this suffocating feeling and my heart starts pounding
Doctor :
try to kep your mind off the problems and busy with some activity
Doctor :   ok
User :   i was doing all dat earlier but the symptoms were still there
Doctor :
then i suggest that you go to ER and get an evaluation done
Doctor :
and also request your doctor to change your anxiety medications
User :   ive been to ER like 6 times before
Doctor :
ask for an alternative medication to Lexapro
Doctor :
and do not stop taking this medcatins
Doctor :
continue the prescribed medications
Doctor :
have you followed what i have said?
User :   yes i have, should i really go to ER? ive been there like 6-7 times ive had a whole cardio work up and it was fine
Doctor :
going to ER when the need arises is not a problem, right now there is a need for you to visit ER, they are set up for medical emergencies
Doctor :
such that people can make use of it
Doctor :
anytime in the day/night when any problem arises
Doctor :
so go to the ER, and this time ask for anxiety management
Doctor :
the cardio symptoms that you are having is probably a result of the anxiety attack
Doctor :
the anxiety symptoms varies from person to person depending on the chemical built of the individual person
User :   right
Doctor :
so do not worry about how many times you have already been to ER, but take necessary steps to come out of your problem
Doctor :
have you followed what i have said?
User :   yes i have i just hate goin because they always tell me there nothing wrong with me
Doctor :
Its not a problem, when there is nothing wrong in your cardio and other workups, they wil tell you the same
Doctor :
so its better now that after this ER visit
Doctor :
when your symptoms are relieved
Doctor :
make an appointment with a psychologist and get your symptoms analysed
Doctor :
and take the suggestions given by them to not have further problems like this
User :   i have been goin to a psychologist
Doctor :
so are you continuing the medications that were prescribed?
Doctor :
if the session with the psychologist was not helpful
User :   well i have to ask for new anxiety pills, and also how come when i eat i get palpitations
Doctor :
go for another psychologist, just one session may not be enough, go for repeat sessions till you are completely symptom free for next 6 months
Doctor :
the palpitations can come even otherwise too
Doctor :
its just that you feel it to be more after eating , because
Doctor :
after eating the BMR of body increases
Doctor :
and so all our body functions increase to keep up the pace
User :   no but its gotten worst now for hours last night i couldnt sleep cuz my heart was pounding 4 hours after i had eaten
Doctor :
the stomach requires more blood suplly to ab able to digest food well
Doctor :
if it is that very bad
Doctor :
then what i suggest you is to take a blood test called as
Doctor :
GTT, or Glucose Tolerance Test
Doctor :
it detects the insulin activity of teh body
Doctor :
sometimes what happens is after a good carbohydrate meal
Doctor :
the body releases insulin in large quantities
Doctor :
to metabolise teh carbohydrates taken
User :   well ive noticed when i eat something heavy in carbs my palps are worst last night i ate alot of sushi
Doctor :
so this insulin makes teh heart rate go faster and makes you feel the pounding sensation
Doctor :
so what is suggested is to take the ytest i have recommended
Doctor :
*test
Doctor :
and start having a well balanced diet
Doctor :
include more of protiens and compex carbohydrates
Doctor :   in diet and avoid taking simple carbohydtares
Doctor :
you will see the difference within a weeks time
Doctor :   so go ti your PCP and ask for this GTT test
Doctor :
you can also get back to me with your reports
Doctor :
and you can also make use of our other services
Doctor :
of diet and nutrition
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW
Doctor :   visit this page to get a diet chart made for your needs
User :   why is this all the sudden?
Doctor :
but i recommend that you do the tests before asking for a diet chart
Doctor :
such that we can make the required diet plan in accordance to the report
Doctor :
the sudden nature of your palpitations after food is due to the sudden release of insulin
Doctor :
it is not a timed and controlled release that happens in normal condition/situation
Doctor :
it is a sudden large release which is responsible for the sudden start of symptoms
Doctor :
have you followed what i have said?
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
Doctor :   are you there?
User :   yes im here im just trying to comprehend
Doctor :
its ok you can take your time and think over your symptoms and the suggestions taht i have given
Doctor :
you can also go thru your chats in a relaxed way by going to your 'accounts and setting page' and clicking on 'chat history'
Doctor :
you can see all details of your discussions with doctors here
User :   like right now my heart is quiet i dont hear a thing
Doctor :
k
User :   dont feel anything but when i get up it feels like a rush and my heart pounds
Doctor :
right now you may be relaxed after talking and getting an explanation for your symptoms
Doctor :
but when you do any activity the insulin surge may continue leading to again the symptoms
Doctor :
so do teh recommended tests
Doctor :
and get back to us
Doctor :
we are always there to help you
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
User :   oh ok isnt that used for diabetes
Doctor :   The one used for diabetes is external insulin because they cannot produce insulin in their body
Doctor :
we humans have pancreas
Doctor :
that produces insulin
Doctor :
to metabolise carbohydrates
Doctor :
in people with daibetes
Doctor :
this does not happen and for that reason they need to take it from external source
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
User :   no uve been of great help
