User :   I have a 7 month old daughter. During a diaper change I discovered a yellowish mucus at the very top opening of her vagina. What can it be?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am Dr.
User :   Hello
Doctor :   Is this a single time notice or did it happen earlier too?
User :   Noticed last night. Noticed a few times upon diapering.
Doctor :   how much is the mucus, is it scanty or profuse?
User :   It fills up the small pocket of the top of vagina. Enough to spread on qtip
Doctor :   Are you able to rub it off with a clean cotton swab
User :   just said that. Have a few samples on cotton swab
Doctor :   I think you should not worry about it, the traces of mucus is normal in diaper babies
User :   Should I rush her to the emergency room or see doctor in the morning.
Doctor :   Not necessarily
Doctor :   You may take an appnt and see her pediatrician
Doctor :   It is not an emergency
User :   She doesn't have a fever or anything. Just appeared in the last 4 diaper changes today. What can I do to make it stop.
Doctor :   You cannot stop it
Doctor :   same time you should not be worried
Doctor :   The small amount of mucus is common for diaper babies becasue of retention of moisture
Doctor :   You can observe this, there is not mucus left you do not put a diaper
User :   yellow greenish mucus. Never saw this before with my 3 other neices that's why I was concerned.
Doctor :   I assure you about this, but if you are too much concerned, you can take an appnt with the treating Pediatrician
User :   Thank you for your time.
