User :   My husband got a small pox vaccine yesterday. We had sex this morning and didn't think anything of it, Now i'm a little worried and wondering if vaccina can be spread through sperm..I know he has been keeping up on not touching it and washing his hands
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   First vaccine contains a small amount of virus which is deliberately given to induce reactions in the body
Doctor :   the reactions produce enormous amount of antibodies which will respond to an active infection if any in the later stages.
Doctor :   The amount of virus injected is not sufficient to produce an infection.
Doctor :   So your partner is not going to have an infection
Doctor :   Second, small pox infection do not spread via sexual intercourse perse.
Doctor :   One gets infected on exposure to infected droplets present in the air.
Doctor :   So my answer to your questions is that you need not worry about the event.
Doctor :   It is highly unlikely that you are going to get infected.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   Yes, thank you I know they had told him not to sleep without a shirt on incase it leaks or pusses then it may get spread on to me so I was afraid it might spread other ways..thank you for clearing that up I was feeling a little nauses and started thinking what it might have come from and thought of that and panicked
Doctor :   There is absolutely no need to panic.
Doctor :   Both you and your partner are safe.
Doctor :   Hope that clear all your doubts.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   no thank you ...thank you so much
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
User :   bye
