User:Hi doc
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:I have kidney stone....5mm. Dr told me not to intake chocolates and cool drinks..does that include icecream too?
User:Am I allowed to eat icecream
Doctor:There are no clear scientific relation between ice creams and kidney stones. However calcium rich products, high protein diet and reduced fluid intake
Doctor:along with high fatty diet
Doctor:can increase chances of kidney stones.
Doctor:Since ice cream is a dairy product,it might be better to take them in moderation.
Doctor:I did not mean you should completely stop eating ice cream, I only suggest that you limit eating ice creams.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:so i should avoid milk products?
User:monthly once 200 ml will not be a problem right?
Doctor:There are different types of kidney stones, basically the make up of kidney stones. Calcium stones need calcium restriction. Uric acid stone need fatty food and high protein restriction.
User:How about glucose water, i am adding glucon D to normal water and having it daily, 1ltr....Does this affect?
Doctor:Without real knowledge of what the type of stone, i cannot specify the real restriction.
Doctor:Therefore it is necessary that you restrict high calcium, high protein and high fatty food.
Doctor:Therefore restrict milk and milk products, restrict salads and food dressing including ice creams, restrict non vegetarian food (lean meat is allowed), restrict coffee/tea, restrict alcohol, cool drinks and so on.
Doctor:Have you followed?
Doctor:200ml of milk only once a month is not a problem.
Doctor:More importantly than these restriction
Doctor:it is absolutely necessary that you drink enough water.
User:wht about that glucon D
Doctor:At least 1 and half litre of water every day is a must.
User:How about glucose water, i am adding glucon D to normal water and having it daily, 1ltr....Does this affect?
Doctor:Glucon D doesn't really affect renal stone, but excess glucose can make you more dehydrated.
Doctor:Therefore it you have not other reasons, it is better to drink plain water alone.
User:ok Thank you XXXXXXX
Doctor:Do you have any other questions?
User:No thanks
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me. Bye for now.
