Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Dr XXX here
Doctor :   Please proceed with your query ?
User :   I recently visited my dentist and he discovered a small white patch on the gum under a tooth on the lower left side he called #21. We waited two weeks and it is still there so he has referred me to a periodontist/oral sugeon to excise and biopsy. Could this be leukoplakia and is that usually benign or cancer. I do not smoke or drink alcohol though I did but quit both over 30 years ago. Thank you
Doctor :   Ok, did you ever notice the patch by yourself before?
User :   No and it is not a raised or rough patch and does not hurt or respond to heat or cold. My gum does not bleed while brushing.
Doctor :   Ok, do you run fever ?
User :   No my temperature is normal and I saw my pulmonologist yesterday because I have sleep apnea and they took my temp there and it was normal
Doctor :   Ok,
Doctor :   DIid you loose weight recently ?
