Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
Doctor: give me a couple of mins to read your query please.
User :   ok
Doctor :   may i know your her age ?
User :   56
Doctor :   may i know if she has diabetes?
User :   yes
Doctor :   may i know if she is on any medications?
User :   she's not on heavy treatment but her docter told her she has it
User :   not right now
Doctor :   ok , are the scales itchy/
User :   it's not small white particules that comes from her pours
User :   it's not to itchy it just bothers when they fall off
Doctor :   OK , she has developed them in the previous 3 months only you mean
User :   when i rub one on my finger it feels like little stones
User :   yes
Doctor :   is she an asthmatic/ allergic from before to anything?
User :   no
Doctor :   ok , apart from this any redness or rash in the surrounding areas?
User :   no rash at all
User :   we only see the white stuff when they comes out by thousands
Doctor :   ok , since there are no symptoms of itching, rashes , etc, it is tough to come to a conclusion
User :   no rash no sores
User :   yeah
Doctor :   this could be dry skin , as i have not examined her, I may not be able to conclude
Doctor :   if she has diabetes, the condition gets aggravated
Doctor :   it could even be a fungal infection , whichhas got generalised to the full body
User :   that actually comes pouring off.even comes out from her feet
Doctor :   diabetes being a factor which causes low immunity, exaggerates the condition.
Doctor :   ok , apart from this , does she have dandruff, any collections in ears?
User :   no she doesn't
User :   even her scalp is dandruff problems
Doctor :   any joint pain , fever , tiredness, muscle aches?
User :   she suffers with her knees recently
User :   her right kness
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   from what i can make out with your history, i feel this may be a fungal infection , if not it is a dry skin
User :   that comes poring from her feet too
Doctor :   i would suggest you to see a dermatologist, the skin scrappings will be taken and the smear and cells put to microscopy evaluation
User :   ok
Doctor :   as far as possible avoid moisture collection.
User :   ok
Doctor :   after bath , she needs to dab out all the water
User :   ok
Doctor :   use powder through out the body and keep it dry
Doctor :   even in between her toes, enough air must be circulating
User :   she bathe like 10 times a day .each tim they pours out
Doctor :   since she does not have itching, it is unlikely to be an infection
User :   what is moisture collection
User :   ok
User :   she has hair on her toes
Doctor :   moisture collection is the settling of sweat/ water due to perspiration or soon after bath
User :   ok
Doctor :   this will lead to fungal infections easily as it promotes fungal growth
User :   so is this contageous
Doctor :   since she is diabetic, she will more prone to pick up any infection
Doctor :   we cannot say if it is contagious
User :   ok
Doctor :   as if it is an autoimmune condition , it will be limited to her itself
Doctor :   so se a dermatologist, they will take a smear and check to see the cells
User :   ok
Doctor :   and what is happening with in
Doctor :   if it is a normal aging and drying process
Doctor :   a good moisturizer will help
Doctor :   if it is a fungal infection , she will need anti fungals and some applications
Doctor :   in the form of lotions and tablet as well
User :   she don't have dry skin
Doctor :   her blood sugars also must be brought under control
User :   ok
Doctor :   I feel she needs an evalaution
User :   sometimes she has to close her eyes whenevr they fall
User :   yes she does
Doctor :   we must rule out fungal infection , psoriasis , lichen planus , etc
Doctor :   as these match with the history your giving about your dear mother
Doctor :   since i cannot examine her, i may not come up with any diagnosis
User :   ok whenever she rubs herself all over with vaseline they fall like thousands
Doctor :   yes , it is a lubricant , it is expected to remove external collections
User :   we could actually see them
Doctor :   this could even be some secretions from the skin glands as well
User :   is this a usaul case
Doctor :   it could be a dermatitis , just an inflammation as well due to diabetes
Doctor :   no , this is not a vert common case
Doctor :   very*
Doctor :   but since a complete evaluation has not been done , we should not make any conclusions
Doctor :   it could be a common dermatitis as well presenting this way
User :   docters don't really listen to now she feels left aside with her problem no one can explain
Doctor :   did you consult a dermatologist?
Doctor :   are you with me?
User :   i took an appointement for her.the problem is most of the time when she reach at a docters office they don't come of so..the docter can't really see's lke when we have a tooth ache all night next day at the dentiste office we have no pain
User :   so now she's depressed
Doctor :   ok , you could just take pictures of the same
Doctor :   and show it to the doctor
User :   ok fine
Doctor :   sometimes stress, emotions with diabetes will increase skin problems
Doctor :   I hope she has been treated completely for crab louse.
User :   yes she did but the docter is doing the treatement all over again
Doctor :   as she has recovered from the louse infestation , there will be some allergens still in her body which may be causing these problems as wll
Doctor :   yes , it is better to re treat it again
User :   well she saw one a two louses
User :   yeah
Doctor :   yes , she surely needs treatment again , i feel the infestation is causing this dermatitis now
Doctor :   and that is leading to these changes
User :   ok
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   i hope i answered all your questions
Doctor :   are there any more questions for me to help you with ?
Doctor :   are you with me?
User :   so in the mean time she should only powder to keep her skin dry
Doctor :   yes,that wil help
Doctor :   but, the best is to get a medicated talc
Doctor :   after getting her examined
Doctor :   she needs topical lotions as well
User :   ok thanks bye
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me
User :   topical lotion..can u give me anme of a lotion
Doctor :   it depends on her condition , if it is the fungal infection , she needs antifungal lotions
User :   ok
Doctor :   we precribe them as per her condition
User :   this can be treated with an injecion
Doctor :   no , it may not help with an injection
User :   ok
Doctor :   generally skin conditions need systemic and topical treatment
Doctor :   a combination of oral and skin routes
Doctor :   hence i advised for an application .
User :   ok how long her treatment might last fr her to get a relief
Doctor :   it might be for 3 weeks or so
Doctor :   depending on her condition and the cause
Doctor :   she may feel fine in this time duration
User :   ok thanks bye
User :   ok
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   you can chat with us again any time
