User:hello doctor
User:i have a baby boy.....whose birth date is 15th july 2014
User:hence as on date he is aging 3.1momhts
User:i visited my pediatrician today...and he took height-weight and HC parameters
User:as per same, my son is weighing 5.08 kg, height is 60 cm and head circumference is 38 cm,.
User:height seems to be OK to me, but I am worried for weight and specially for HC
Doctor:what was his birth weight?\
User:my pediatrician didnt say anything
User:his birth weight was 2.74 kg
Doctor:I don't see any alarming signs here
Doctor:what are you worried about?
User:About his HC growth
User:i have heard that kids with higher HC tend to be smarter
User:also, about his current HC percentile
Doctor:But as per my knowledge his head circumference seems to be fine.
Doctor:Average children at this age have head circumference of 38-39cms head circumference.
User:ok and does its true that higher HC, relates
User:to good growth rate of brain/
Doctor:Both large head and small head are related to medical conditions.
Doctor:So do not be worried, since your child seems to be developing well.
Doctor:At this point of time\
Doctor:I will like you to get your attention
Doctor:to his mile stones
Doctor:and not on the head circumference.
Doctor:If the child is attaining his mile stones at average time period
Doctor:it indicates his brain growth is normal.
Doctor:In my opinion, his mile stone development will be more useful indicator than head circumference.
User:ok...thats infornmative...
Doctor:Hope I am clear.
Doctor:Is there any other question?,..thanks....
Doctor:Do you have any more queries?
User:no other question
Doctor:Thanks for visiting me here. Bye for now.
