What precautions should be taken after fumigation? - Online Doctor Chats
How may I help you?
i am preg for 21 weeks
a pest control is done in my office what precautions hsould i take
How long ago was the fumigation done?
You would not happen to know which fumigation was done would you?
As in, what chemical was used?
know i dont know
i was done for mosquitoes
OK. Well, all commercial fumigants have to have a breakdown half life of no more than 6 hours. Otherwise they cannot be used on the market
So 24 hours is 4 half lives and that brings the total concentration of remaining fumigant to less than 6% original level
i was not in office only for approx 1 hr only
Theoretically, you need not take any precautions. But in your situation, I would ask them to let you stay out 1 more day
any impact on my baby
The current set of commerically available fumigants are the same things that re used in those "All out" vaporizers and such
They have never been shown to cause any damage to a developing baby
okwhat should i use for mosquitoes
in my home
Honestly, if I were in this situation I would opt for a mosquito net
Or use the "all out" for an hour or two and shut all the windows
please don't use the coils
and don't use the sprays
Does that make any sense?
no no sense of using the coils & sprays,
i would go for mosquitoes net
I think that is best
Is there anything else I can help you with?
what should i use for cold
blocked chest with cough
How long have you had this?
its about 10 days
Ok, have you taken any antibiotics?
Or have you tried steam inhalation?
i take steam
It's a safe drug. Has been used on many pregnant women for many many years
Always Happy to Help!
Anything else I can help you with?
Take care and I wish you the best in your future family
thanks & bye
