Doctor:How can I help you?
User:i need some clarification
Doctor:Please proceed with your query.
User:My wife is working in IT concern. last few months she is facing severe pain in bone joints every morning
User:in evening also she is facing pain. but not as severe as high.
User:We checked with few hospitals. All of them telling that she is having Vitamin D deficiency. And no other problems.
User:So i need your suggestion or tips on regarding this.
User:Thanks :)
Doctor:May I know her age?
User:ya. 27
Doctor:Since when is she having this problem?
User:from last 10 months we noticed this.
Doctor:And did you mean pain all over the body or at specific joints?
User:no. at specific joints like hand and leg joints.
Doctor:Does the pain remain at those joints or does it spread across all the joints?
Doctor:If it remains at particular joints, can you name those areas?
User:its not consistent. few days she will feel pain at hand and other days she may feel pain at leg
User:and in some days she may feel pain in both like that.
Doctor:Does she notice swelling of the joint along with the pain?
User:Yes. In that particular area, skin will become enlarged.
Doctor:What other symptoms does she have apart from the joint pain?
User:Pain and swelling only. Not any other major symptoms.
Doctor:Let me brief you.
Doctor:Presence of pain and swollen joints indicate that she suffer from arthritis.
Doctor:Please note that swelling in arthritis needs to be confirmed clinically.
Doctor:If your doctor confirm presence of swelling, she will need investigations to rule out conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Doctor:I am not sure what tests have been done already; but in my opinion she needs to be evaluated in detail.
User:Oh ok. As i mentioned earlier, we had checked with few hospitals. All of them suggested to do some exercise like physiotheraphy
Doctor:Vitamin D deficiency can cause bone and muscular pain
Doctor:and so does other condition.
User:and also take some food items
Doctor:if no other conditions especially the autoimmune conditions are ruled out, then perhaps she can be treated symptomatically.
Doctor:At this point of time, I am not sure what tests have been done.
Doctor:If she has tried those physiotherapy and vitamin D supplements and still persist to have pain
User:Ok. We need to go any specialist doctor? If so, what kind of specialist?
Doctor:then I would suggest her to take another opinion from a rheumatologist.
Doctor:Rheumatologist are specialist in managing joint pain especially where multiple joints are involved.
Doctor:They would be able to evaluate her better and manage her condition better.
User:Oh ok.
User:Thanks Doctor.
Doctor:Hope I have give you the necessary information.
Doctor:Do you have any more questions?
User:Not now. Thanku so much. :)
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
