Doctor:Hello
User:Hi
Doctor:how can I help you?
User:A small lump/bump has developed on my forehand suddenly.
Doctor:Since when?
Doctor:and is it painful?
Doctor:how big is the lump/bump?
User:It is not very big. I noticed about 6 days ago
Doctor:okay
Doctor:Is it painful?
User:was bit painful initially. now it is not painful
Doctor:Okay
User:I g to gym, just fyi
Doctor:What kind of information are you looking for?
Doctor:ok
User:Can you tell waht could it be?
Doctor:There are a few possibilities
Doctor:I can not be sure without examining you in person
Doctor:Basing on the location, it could be a ganglion
Doctor:or a lipoma
Doctor:or a sebaceous cyst
Doctor:These are the most likely causes for a painless swelling in the forearm/hand
Doctor:a complete diagnosis can only be made after clinical examination and histopathological examination of the lump
Doctor:My suggestion to you would be to consult a general surgeon and get yourself examined
Doctor:and follow her/his advise
Doctor:is there anything else I can help you with?
User:i read about neurofibromatosis. Is that also possible?
Doctor:Yes, but neurofibromatosis would present much earlier and single lesions are very rare
Doctor:Anything else?
User:i have a very small lump on side of my neck which developed some years ago.
User:i never cared about it till now
Doctor:okay
Doctor:Please get yourself examined by a doctor
Doctor:that would make things clear
User:ok, just one more thing. I can see a doctor only after 1 month. Do I really need to see doctor before that.
Doctor:Depends on the speed of growth of this lump
Doctor:Once you notice something, it is better to get a proper diagnosis made as early as possible
Doctor:so that you rule out anything sinister
Doctor:if it is a ganglion or a lipoma, it would not even require treatment
User:but neurofibromatosis does not have an cure, i think
Doctor:but if the lump has developed suddenly, and if it grows rapidly, then other causes such as a skin cancer need to be ruled out
Doctor:I do not know if it is a neurofibromatosis
User:ok, thanks
Doctor:and neurofibromatosis does not have a cure, but diagnosis is very essential
Doctor:Okay
Doctor:Thank you for using the service
Doctor:have a good day ahead
Doctor:bye
