User:55 years old. Only last week 02/18/14 I noticed an indentation in erect penis shaft, almost like it was broken (and would bend up slightly with pressure) and later felt a hard pea-size lump in flaccid state close to the top of the shaft, directly in the middle about 1/3rd up from base. It is painless and erection was not painful. What might it be? Do I need to be concerned?
Doctor:Hi, I am Dr. XXXXXXX D
Let me read your query for few minutes to be able to have a good discussion here.
Doctor:The lump seems to be a sebaceous cyst
User:Not cancerous?
Doctor:I don't think so
Doctor:but will need a closer look
User:Would this cause a bend or "break" in the erect penis? I've never had this before.
Doctor:It is very unusual.. generally such lumps do not cause any bend or break in the penile shaft
User:I was looking at something called Peyronie's disease. Is that a possibility?
Doctor:It is difficult to come to a conclusion without actually examining the lump in person
User:So I should probably see a urologist to confirm?
Doctor:Yes Peyronie's disease is a possibility
Doctor:and yes, you should see a Urologist
User:One more question. Could a sebaceous cyst be located about 2-5 mm below the skin where it can't be seen on the surface, but can be felt when squeezing the shaft?
Doctor:Your doctor should be able to tell you further
User:Did you see my last question?
Doctor:I just saw ut
Doctor:I just saw it
Doctor:Yes, it the sebaceous can be located 2 to 3 mm deep
User:Ok. Thank you for your help
Doctor:is there anything else?
User:I think that's it. My main concern was that it might be a tumor, but my online research states that is very rare, especially in the location I mentioned. Would you agree?
Doctor:Yes, I don't think it is any tumor
Doctor:it is unlikely to be one
User:Ok, thank you again! Have a great day.
Doctor:You too
Doctor:thanks for consulting me
Doctor:have a good day ahead
