Doctor:How can I help you?
User:I need some basic information
User:for the last couple of days, I have severe pain on my left arm
User:especially on the biceps region...
User:I tried hot bath, massage and also used pain relieving spray to get rid of it...
User:but it still persists...
User:what could be the reason?
Doctor:The pain may be due to muscular spasms or due to a pinched nerve at the neck.
User:does this relate to any heart related issues or high cholestrol is the reason behind this?? please advise.
Doctor:Since the pain is present for 2 days without progress or regress
Doctor:it is unlikely to be related to a heart ailment.
Doctor:You can continue hot compress and spray.
Doctor:You can also add oral pain killers that you used to take
Doctor:for 2-3 days.
Doctor:if you don't feel better
Doctor:visit a doctor nearby for clinical examination.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:okay....I was worried
User:bcoz I learned somewhere that this may be becasue of high triglycerides
User:as I have high total cholestrol...
Doctor:I understand you are worried.
User:can you also confirm... "a left arm pain is a pre-cursor of heart attack" is this a MYTH or scientifically proven fact ??
Doctor:But your description doesn't appear to be a serious concern/
Doctor:Left arm pain can be suggestive of heart attack;
Doctor:but it doesn't confirm heart attack.
Doctor:We take into consideration multiple other symptoms and conditions.
Doctor:Your description doesn't sound like heart attack
Doctor:primarily because of the fact that you have this problem going on for 2 days.
Doctor:I expect a patient with heart attack to feel better or have worsened to a far serious problem
Doctor:if this was an acute heart attack,
Doctor:Nevertheless, if you don't feel better in a day or two
User:yeah got it...
Doctor:its always better to see a doctor and get evaluated.
User:sure... I will follow these suggestions...
Doctor:A clinical examination will provide more clues to identify the cause.
Doctor:Hope it is clear to you.
User:yes it is
Doctor:Do you have any questions?
User:I think I am good....
User:Thanks for your time
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
