Can you explain your symptoms?
Was it confirmed to be streptococcal throat infection?
I've too much phelgm, not coughing so much, and most of the times blocked nostrils
not running nose though
and since last couple of days having minor aches in the head, and a little in the back
i should also tell you that the strep throat was from a pool, and I've a history of asthymatic bronchitis and rhinitis
When you say phelgm do you mean secretions in the throat?\
Can you explain what you meant by strep throat - do you mean it was throat irritation
or a doctor confirmed it to be streptococcal infection?
nobody confirmed the infection, but i assumed it to be. Sorry
With blocked nose, throat secretions and irritation, what other symptoms you have?
Do you have pain while swallowing?
Are you running fever?
not now, but 2 weeks back i did
* I noted you also have headache and pain in the back.
minor pains only started yesterday
Since how long have you been dealing with these symptoms now?
Did the symptoms start after swimming at a pool?
Give me a minute doctor, and I'll make a date-wise chart of symptoms. It will help in your diagnosis
I think I have formulated a diagnosis based on what you described.
However please give me the data and we can discuss further.
12 Jun - joined swimmming - got throat infection from it. There was no other symptom for the next 10 days, only throat irritation and it was a little mucousy 22 Jun - started little coughing and secreting too much mucous 26 Jun - No irritation in the throat anymore but very little coughing, phlegm persisted. and now also started having blocked nose 5 Jul - Started having a light head-ache 7 Jul - started having minor pain in the back
Let me brief you now.
Based on the details provided, your predominant symptoms have been throat secretions.
You also have had throat irritation and very little cough along with it.
It has progressed to cause headache now.
There is no mention about fever here.
in the later stages.
That suggests no active infection now.
Sinusitis causes blocked nostril sensation,
these secretions can get into the throat through post nasal drip leading to throat irritation and phlegm formation.
It can trickled down into the lungs leading to cough.
Since you have no fever, you can start the treatment with steam inhalation.
Inhale steam vapour three or four times a day.
You can add contents of Karvol plus capsule into the warm water before starting inhaling for better effectiveness.
