What causes pain in groin area and right leg inspite of having history for herpes infection? - Online Doctor Chats
Hi I just had a infection and was having groin pain for 3 weeks and for the last 3 days I have had inner thigh pain right leg
Just worried about a blood clot
Did you mean you had herpes infection (out break) 3 weeks ago?
For the last 3 weeks
Have you recovered from the infection or do you still have active lesions?
Can you describe the type of pain?
No lessions slighty red still
Is it like a cramping one or burning, shooting or like a dull ache?
Crampinb and a dull pain
Are you able to walk around?
Does it hurt more when you flex or twist your hips and knees?
A little mainy when I push on it also I do have hernia on right side
My last enquiry before I address your concern; is the pain restricted only to the inner thigh or do you feel the ache behind or in the front of your thighs too?
Only inner thigh also I pain for the entire three weeks just below my stomach the er doc said it was lymph nodes or hernia the pain in my inner thigh only for 3 days
Let me brief you now.
I have 3 possible explanations.
If you been working out, you may have picked up an injury unnoticingly.
Sometimes a nerve gets entrapped into the hernia leading to pain which radiates down the thighs.
3. Less likely from herpes infection. Similar to shingles.
How can I tell if its pain from hernia or lymph and I am urinating alot
If you been urinating a lot, I would suggest you to get an urine test done.
I am tomarrow
You should go back to the doctor for examination.
Perhaps it may be related to the nerve entrapment that I was talking about.
If you been urinating a lot, another possibility of genitourinary infection can explain the same pain.
I would suggest you to take pain medicines.
Drink plenty of water
and consider visiting a doctor for a physical examination.
Ok one more thing I went to a natual herb store they told me to put chlorophyll in my water and take red marine algea for herpes I stopped yesterday made me feel worse not a good idea what do you think
I am sorry, I wouldn't be able to provide a good opinion about herbs since my expertise are restricted as a physician.
Can I put ice on my thigh or groin
Yes, you can use the ice.
Alternate it with hot water bag.
For better pain control.
Ok cool thanks
