User:The day before last I felt sudden intense soreness under my arm in the arm pit. When I woke up the next day I felt very weak and tired. Today the soreness when down but now I feel dizzy. What could this be?
Doctor:Dr XXXXXXX here
Doctor:Did you or do you feel any mass or growth in the armpits ?
Doctor:Did you have fever ?
Doctor:Ok, I suspect the pain to be either due to a folliculitis or a musculoskeletal pain
User:Well not 100% sure...I may have had a fever....felt some hotness then chills yesterday but that was mild
Doctor:In that case, folliculitis is a possibility
User:Why would I feel dizzy right now?
Doctor:Post infection fatigue could be the reason for your dizziness
User:Would I see bumps or redness if it was folliculitis?
Doctor:Not always
User:What should I do?
Doctor:Since the skin there is soft and fatty, lesions may sometimes not be seen
User:Is it I need to see a doctor right away or can I schedule an apt next week?
Doctor:Observe for two more days. if symptoms continue then taking a course of antibiotics would be essential
Doctor:No, its not serious
Doctor:You can consult next week only.
User:Could it be Axillary Vein Thrombosis?
Doctor:if there is appearance of any lesions of new symptmoms, visit the ER
Doctor:Thrombosis of vein results in swelling and pain in the entire limb
User:I just go worried because I felt dizzzy and wasn't sure if it could be something related to blood flow
Doctor:Need not worry, blood flow blockade usually presents without pain but swelling initially
Doctor:Is there anything I can help you with ?
User:What other symptoms would lead you to believe its related to blood flow or something more serious that I should go to ER? Just so I know if I should go.
Doctor:Severe pain in entire limb, swelling, cold extremity, numbess in the limb, weakness etc
User:And is there anything I should be doing over the next 2 days to help?
User:Is it safe to take 2 low dose aspirin until seeing the doctor...
Doctor:Observe and massage the entire limb to prevent any musculoskeletal problems
Doctor:No, do not take aspirin without being examined
User:If I have/had a fever what would that lead you to believe?
Doctor:Infection, Confirm folliculitis
User:So not viral
Doctor:No, most probably bacterial
Doctor:Is there anything I can help you with ?
User:I did feel a slight pinching feeling in my legs the day before last
User:When I went out for a walk
Doctor:Could be musculoskeletal pain
Doctor:Massage and apply warmth
User:I will schedule an doctors appoint and monitor
User:Thank you
Doctor:You are welcome
Doctor:Bye for now
