User:are these signs of being hiv
Doctor:These do not seem like signs of HIV
Doctor:In HIV the symptoms are initially flu like
User:ok
Doctor:Then there is a period of no symptoms
Doctor:Then there are symptoms due to opportunistic infections, etc
User:what is opportunistic infections
Doctor:Opportunistic infections happen in the background of low immunity
Doctor:So the natural history of disease is not being followed
User:i have been stressing since we both had the itching and cough simultaneously
User:and it says online this happens in 3 months
Doctor:Opportunistic infections include candida, toxoplasma etc
Doctor:Well if you want to be sure you can go for tests for HIV
Doctor:The itching is usually caused by candida
User:i am in the middle east if i go for a test and if i am positive they deport us
Doctor:ok
User:hence i am scared and tensed and i am chatting with u to understand am i in risk to be hiv positive
Doctor:You can wait til you go back to your country and able to do the test
Doctor:Candida is only sometimes caused in the background of low immunity
User:doctor i have not been getting sleep and i have been stressing a lot
User:can u help in telling me based on my history if i am at risk
User:is there a possibilty i could be hiv positive, since i was given oral sex with no protection
Doctor:No you are not at risk
Doctor:You have protected intercourse
User:yes
Doctor:ok
Doctor:You had oral sex with no protection
User:yes
Doctor:This does put you at slight risk, though very less
Doctor:If you can order HIV test kits and check it at home
User:i was given oral sex by the lady for few mins
Doctor:In fact the tests may be false negative upto 6 months of exposure
User:but online it says it should be done aftre 3 months window period
Doctor:DNA-PCR will be able to better diagnose it
Doctor:Another method is to check with the worker if she is HIV posiive
User:very difficult i met her in bangkok
User:i a now in the middle east
Doctor:ok
User:can you advise by when does the symptons show on a patient
Doctor:Mostly after 2 years of exposure
User:so my current sgns of cough itchyness are not hiv signs
Doctor:From your history it does not seem like HIV symptoms
Doctor:There are other more common causes of itchiness and cough
User:i have had diarrhea occassionaly like ofr 2 days is this somethingto worry about
Doctor:No
Doctor:It may mean that you are drinking contaminated water
User:pls correct me if im wrong it says online that oral sex with no protection is very very low risk is that correct
Doctor:Yes it is correct
Doctor:Very low risk of contracting HIV
User:in india do they have rapid hiv tests like you can get a result in an hour or two
User:if yes how reliable are they
Doctor:Yes we have rapid hiv tests
Doctor:They may be reliable from 95 to 99 %
User:so what is 100% relaible
Doctor:We routinely perform these rapid tests before surgery
Doctor:DNA-PCR
Doctor:is near 100 %
User:how long does this test take
Doctor:Which one?
Doctor:DNA-PCR?
User:yes
Doctor:It depends on the lab
User:approximately
Doctor:They mostly check for DNA particles in blood
User:is it one day or one week etc
Doctor:Around one day
User:ok
Doctor:I dont think you should panic
User:i am really stressed for me and my wife
Doctor:First try drinking cleaner water
User:i know i did commit a huge sn
Doctor:and see if the condition clears up
Doctor:It seems more like candida than HIV
User:wht is candida
Doctor:Yes some guilty feeling will prevent you to do it in future
Doctor:It is a fungal infection
User:is it curable
Doctor:Now it does not mean that you go for antifungal treatment
Doctor:It is reducible
Doctor:By lifestyle measures
Doctor:One is to drink pure water
User:is it life threatening
Doctor:No
Doctor:It is a very common infection
User:is it an STD
Doctor:Many people getting affected from it
Doctor:Mostly due to streess or antibiotic use
Doctor:It is not sexually transmitted but commonly happens in sexual partners
User:i am highly stressed no doubt on that, i got a few rashes on my chest yesterday

User:i have sent u abt 5 pics
User:pls check and advise
Doctor:ok
Doctor:It does take 2 - 3 min
Doctor:I will let you know when I get it]
User:ok so based on my history and symptons how much of a risk am i for hiv
User:as i am really stressing abt me n my wife
Doctor:Firstly the status of worker is unknown
User:yes
Doctor:That makes the chance to be less than 3%
User:3% only coz of my unprotected oral sex correct
Doctor:If the status was known we would have been more sure
User:if we consider the worker has hiv what are the chances 3% or more
Doctor:If the worker says that is HIV positive then chances can shoot up
Doctor:Still during oral sex the chances of transmission are low
User:she has to be bleeding right
User:in her mouth for this to happen
Doctor:Yes
Doctor:If she says that she is HIV negative, then the chances are near zero
User:i wouldnt know her status
Doctor:Its ok]
User:when u say fu like sympton when does this occur
User:in the first month second etc
Doctor:Still your history does not match with HIV
Doctor:Yes in the first month
User:and how long does this flu last in the firt month
User:and when u say flu do u mean cold, cough, sore throat, fever, which of these
Doctor:All of these
Doctor:Flu usually has bad symptoms
User:bad symptons like
Doctor:High fever, sorethroat, cough etc
User:ok
User:based on my history do i need to do a test or am i fine
Doctor:You seem to be fine
User:thank you is there anything particular i need to look out for
Doctor:You may do test just to clear your doubt
User:as a sympton
User:in d near future
Doctor:Our customer care team has gooten the reports
Doctor:they are sending it to me
User:would that take long
Doctor:I got the reports
Doctor:give me a minute
User:ok
Doctor:I have seen the reoprt
Doctor:These seem like folliculitis
User:what is that
Doctor:but to be sure a biospy may be done if it does not fade away

Doctor:After 3 months it does not seem to be STD
