User:My Mom's father had diabetics, i have done blood test and all came normal
User:I am a bit worried
Doctor:It can be a sign of diabetes. You can get your blood sugar tested to confirm your sugar status.
User:i had done a sugar test last week itself
Doctor:Get a fasting blood sugar and post prandial blood sugar done if you are looking to get it tested instead of random blood sugar.
User:without food was 90 and post food was 126
User:and doc said its normal
Doctor:Your post prandial is just under normal limit.
Doctor:You need not be concerned about diabetes.
User:thats a relief but what can be the reason for so much urine
Doctor:However I am concerned about your weight.
User:earlies it was just once or at XXXXXXX twice
Doctor:You seem to be over weight if not obese at 115 kg.
User:now days its 4-5 and some times even 6 times
User:i know.. my weight is very high and am planning to work on that part too
Doctor:If you continue to keep this weight, you may sooner end with insulin resistence which is a precursor for diabetes.
Doctor:Plan to get your weight under control.
Doctor:Have you tested your urine?
User:what do u mean by insulin resistance
Doctor:Insulin is required to control blood sugars. Excess fat nullifies effect of insulin before it can act on blood sugar
Doctor:thereby leading to diabetes.
Doctor:Since you have family history of diabetes, it is utmost important that you get your weight under control to prevent early onset diabetes.
Doctor:As far as increased urination is concerned, you might need to get an urine examination and ultrasound test done.
User:i dont have a family history.. of diabetis
User:any soecific test i need to do
Doctor:Consult a physician and discuss about this test.
User:i can go to any physician right
Doctor:I misread your earlier statement. Anyway, I would definitely concerned about your weight.
Doctor:Please start working on it soon.
Doctor:You can visit any general physician
Doctor:and discuss about these tests.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:sure.. i will do that this weekend..
Doctor:Do you have any more questions?
User:any specific urine test and ultrasound test
Doctor:Urine routine and microscopy and ultrasound abdomen is what I would have done on you. You should consult a physician before getting these tests.
Doctor:The doctor can add or substract tests based on his analysis.
Doctor:Is there any other questions?
