Doctor:Hi
User:Hello Doctor
User:This is XXXX
User:I'm currently 10 to 11 weeks pregnant
Doctor:ok
User:My Gyno advised me to undergo Cervical Cerclage procedure
User:I got bleeding and blood clot last week
Doctor:ok
User:After scanning, she said that the baby is fine but still some blood clots are seen in the Uterus
Doctor:ok
User:Now my question is :
User:If those clots are trapped inside even after the Cervical Cerclage procedure
User:Then any complication would arise or nothing to worry ?
Doctor:It depends on the source of clots
Doctor:If the clots are coming from the procedure then there is no need to worry
Doctor:But if the clots are coming from placenta but there is no active bleed then there is no need to worry
Doctor:But if you experience bleeding in future you will need to see your doctor
Doctor:Seeing your history, there is no need to worry
Doctor:Do you have any doubt here?
Doctor:Bleeds are very common in early pregnancy and so are blood clots
Doctor:Blood clots resolve with time
Doctor:Are you there?
User:Gyno said that the placenta is well protected but the external mouth is slightly open
Doctor:ok
Doctor:So you will be protected with cerclage
Doctor:You can relax now
User:ok Doctor - I feel good now. I have another query
User:My breast is itching a lot these days
Doctor:Is this your first pregnancy?
User:yes
User:My doctor gave a cream to apply
Doctor:In first pregnancy tissues expand, and cause itching
Doctor:ok
Doctor:Which cream was given?
User:but it is not giving much relief
User:one sec
User:Quadriline
User:Any other advice from you doctor ?
Doctor:Actually treatment depends on cause
Doctor:If the itching is simply due to stretching then nothing needs to be done
Doctor:But if it is due to dry skin or allergy and is mild then also nothing needs to be done
User:Nipples are cracked and dry
User:that gives extreme itching
Doctor:ok
Doctor:Cracked nipples are caused by fungal infection
Doctor:I usually prescribe antifungal cream for cracked nipples
Doctor:Like clotrimazole cream or miconazole cream
Doctor:Do not take oral medicine for it
Doctor:You also need to drink cleaner water from RO system to keep it in check
User:Can we consider this clotrimazole cream or miconazole cream as "over the counter" medicine and buy it ?
User:or needs to be prescribed case to case basis ?
Doctor:Yes it is available over the counter
User:Ok that helps
User:Thanks for the clarifications Doctor !
User:I'm good :-)
Doctor:ok
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me
Doctor:Take care
User:Sure - Thank you
Doctor:Take care
User:Bye doctor !
Doctor:Bye
