User :   Yes. I just completed my health check assesment and according to the BMI scale it says i'm overweight
User :   What is the healthy weight to be . im 5ft 10 inches tall and iam 21 years old

User :   yes . actually what i was concerned was that i moved into hostel for my engineering and my weight just shot up all of a sudden

User :   improper and junk food consumption was the primary cause

Doctor :   Eat more of salads, fresh fruits and chapathi.You can eat brown rice instead of white.

Doctor :   Switch to rice bran oil, olive oil for cooking.
Doctor :   eat more of steamed food like idli for breakfast, not rice items

User :   oh. yes ive been having rice items in office of late for breakfast. ok ok

Doctor :   So eat idli,corn flakes, dry chapathi without oil, akki roti without oil

Doctor :   For lunch you can eat again salad, in canteen roti is preferable than chapathi since htey wont put oil

Doctor :   Avoid mutton totally if you are non veg, once in a while chicken is fine, fish is good to take.
Doctor :   Avoid butter, cheese,have skimmed milk.
User :   oh i dont think brown rice is not available but yes i can have chapatis and im a vegetarian
Doctor :   Daily half hour walk is a must.
Doctor :   Drink water before meals ,then you wont feel so hungry.

Doctor :   Stop buying junk food, so that you wont be tempted to have at home.
Doctor :   Drink green tea.
User :   Doctor is it advisable to go on a diet or follow the GM diet ?
