she has some back problem for long time
6 months back she consulted a doctor and he has given dome calcium and vitamin d midicine
now she is fine ..
but sometime she get back pain
Can you tell me the exact name of the condition?
dr. said she need to take those pills almost for lifetime
I will ask a few questions to know her condition better.
How old is your wife?
What was the nature of her back pain?
she used to get it while wake up or if she is standing for long
What triggered her back pain?
dont know exactly but she started complaining few yrs back but it was mild
Did you get any investigations done?
ya some thoyriod tests and other vitamin d and some other tests
Do you know the abnormal findings on the tests?
vitamin d deficiency but not much...just below the normal range
Any other abnormal findings?
Did your doctor start calcium supplementation based on this finding?
she took it for four months and then she stopped
Was any radiological investigations done?
Does she still have back pain?
not frequent but sometime she get it
Was any repeat test done?
It can lead to calcium stones in the body.
I will also recommend that you get repeat tests done including radiological tests.
We have to know the diagnosis before we start her on a treatment.
There is one more thing.
I think wrong posture is causing her the symptoms.
She should avoid prolonged sitting.
She should also avoid lifting heavy things.
thank you for your suggestion...
Exercises to strengthen back muscles will help her tremendously.
While exercising she should not over-exert her body.
Exercises like lifting something from the floor and throwing it in the front will help.
thanks a lot...
ill ask her to follow these things
The best next step is to see a doctor to manage her condition better.
