Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   I shall explain to you.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Cough producing completely blood stained sputum is a serious concern, however, since you report that no such event happened,
Doctor :   the following are the possible reasons why you had such symptoms
Doctor :   1. An infection - lower respiratory infection can trigger mild bleeding while coughing
Doctor :   2. Severe coughing can induce minor trauma to the upper gut(oesophagus) and this bleeding can come out when you cough again.
Doctor :   This condition is referred as XXXXXXXX Weiss syndrome.
User :   ok
Doctor :   The second condition is a benign condition which settles spontaneously as the cough gets controlled.
Doctor :   You will need certain dietary modification and antacid syrups to help in the treatment.
Doctor :   Diet changes that you need are restricting spicy food, reducing caffeine consumption. Along with this
Doctor :   proper sleep and stress management are essential to prevent the condition in getting severe.
Doctor :   Continue with the cough syrup given to you.
User :   ok
Doctor :   The symptoms will disappear once your cough gets controlled.
Doctor :   And regarding the first one.
Doctor :   Since, I cannot perform a lung examination,
Doctor :   I will not be able to predict the type and nature of infection.
User :   ok
Doctor :   However since you are on antibiotics, the antibiotics should take care of the infection.
Doctor :   Watch out for these symptoms
Doctor :   1. High grade fever,
Doctor :   2. cough with severe amounts of sputum which are thick, yellow/greenish coloured and
Doctor :   producing abnoxious/foul smell.
User :   for how many days should i continue the antibiotics?
User :   Till now i have taken 5 antibiotics
Doctor :   3. Chest pain which is severe and increasing with breathing
Doctor :   4. Fast breathing, with breathlessness.
Doctor :   If you notice these symptoms, you will need to see a doctor/chest physician.
Doctor :   A change of antibiotics will be necessary then.
Doctor :   Antibiotics are usually given for a period of 5-7 days.
Doctor :   I cannot comment on time period that you will have to take them or the dose, as I do not have access to your previous reports.
Doctor :   Hence, use them as suggested by your doctor.
Doctor :   You can continue them for another 2 more days, if you wish to.
Doctor :   Report to your doctor, if you develop any of those symptoms(I mentioned earlier) or if your symptoms are not getting controlled.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   yes, i have
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?

User :   its somewhat red and frequent itching
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Have you seen a doctor?
User :   no not yet
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me explain.
Doctor :   Based on your description, this could be a folliculitis.
Doctor :   which means inflammation of hair follicles.
User :   its spreding to neck also
User :   down the hairline
Doctor :   Since you report of pus formation, it may be infected.
User :   ok
Doctor :   If there is plenty of pus, then it needs drainage.
Doctor :   This can be performed by a trained professional alone.
Doctor :   Hence, I suggest you to see a doctor/dermatologist who can help you in the treatment.
Doctor :   The present antibiotics that you are using may be helping in the treatment of this problem too,
User :   ok
Doctor :   However, only a physical examination can tell us, if any additional treatment such as incision and drainage is needed or now.
Doctor :   *not.
User :   pus is not much
Doctor :   Without physically examining the lesion, I cannot be able to comment further with regards to the treatment,
User :   ok
