User :   Hi, I am 32 years old..since last month i am seeing a brown discharge 2 days before menses is this normal?

User :   yes its reglar
Doctor :   Do you have pain or any associated symptom along with this?
User :   no theres no pain
Doctor :   Is the menstrual bleeding normal as before? Are you on any medications? Is there any burning or pain during urination?
User :   i get menses for only 2 days and on te 3rd day theres nothing
User :   iam not on medication
User :   thers no burning or pain

User :   nope
User :   actually on 25th evevning i saw a brown discahrge
Doctor :   Do you have any other symptom like raised sugar, BP or cholesterol?
User :   when i wiped there
User :   and then on 28th afternoon i got my proper menses
User :   iam not sure abt my bp or sugar
Doctor :   Brown discharge before periods can be due to many reasons as breakthrough menstrual bleeding, Polyps, OC pill intake, implantation bleeding etc.
Doctor :   Do you mean you noticed that discharge just once and not after that?
User :   yes ..i did see very lil next day that was only i was cleaning the vagina..
Doctor :   Polyps are the common cause of brownish discharge which are group of cells that grow abnormally inside uterus.
Doctor :   These polyps sometimes start bleeding and cause brown discharge.
Doctor :   You need to get yourself examined by a gynaecologist and she may do investigation as PAP smear to confirm the same.
User :   actually i had an ultrasound done 2 months back..and it didnt indicate any polyp
User :   ok maybe ill see a gynacelogist
Doctor :   These polyps are benign in nature and can be detected by PAP smear test
User :   actually i had an abdominal ultrasound
Doctor :   Why did you go for USG scan?
User :   becase i was ahaving an uti
User :   urinary tract infection

Doctor :   UTI cannot usually cause Brown discharge.
User :   is abdominal ultrasound capable
User :   of finding polyps in the uterus
User :   or ovaries?
Doctor :   It has symptoms like Fever, burning in urine and fatigue
Doctor :   No Abdominal USG scan cannot find that
User :   ok fine
Doctor :   They can be detected by Vaginal USG scan
User :   ok one more thing..seems like i have a hyperthyroid
User :   could this cause brow discahrge
User :   i observed this

User :   2 yeras back
User :   for 1 or 2 onths

User :   actulally the tsh level was very low

User :   nope..
User :   t3 was normal
User :   but t4 was not
User :   guess t4 was higher than expected
User :   this was 1 year ago
User :   i didnt go for any treatment after that

User :   no
User :   actually i suddenly started getting breathing problem last year
User :   so had gone to doc
Doctor :   You should undergo treatment for thyroid then
User :   and she suggested the thyroid test
User :   but the medicine she gave me
User :   cured my breathing problem
User :   so i dodnt go for further treatment
User :   but i saw the thyroid report later
Doctor :   But thyroid disorder is to be treated, you cannot leave itlike this
User :   could thyroid cause this kind of discharge?
Doctor :   Thyroid can cause menstrual problems
User :   ok fine ill talk to my gynecologist then ..
User :   should i consult a general practtioner for thyroid?
Doctor :   Yes first you should meet him and probably you will have to get the tests repated as it has been a year
