User :   My husband and I celebrated valentines early last tuesday and he forgot to shave. The stubble resulted in me getting a vaginal friction burn and even a larger cut as well. It is really painful and isn't healing very quickly at all. What can I do to help it heal? I'm afraid it is going to get infected.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   I am
User :   hi
User :   thanks for chatting with me. I'm really in pain over this and although my husband thinks the situation is a little humerous, it is really really painful. especially during urination.
Doctor :   Do you bleed?
User :   no, there is no bleeding
Doctor :   Ok, if it does not spot or bleed the cut may not be deeper
User :   the cut doesn't bleed, but the area closer to the vaginal opening is very raw and blistered
Doctor :   I would suggest to increase the consumption of water, putting baking powder thrice a day, this alkanalizes the urine
Doctor :   this reduces the chances of infection
Doctor :   For pain, you can take normal ADVIL, 200 mg thrice a day
Doctor :   Did you understand?
User :   I do...thanks so much. How long should I expect this to last?
Doctor :   24 to 48 hours
Doctor :   Refrain from sex, as it can result in greater infection
Doctor :   Urinate as frequently as possible even though you have no feeling of bladder fill
Doctor :   because more urine, more time in the bladder, more chances of infection
User :   I will. I already drink water. I'm on topamax and I can't stand the taste of most other drinks. Thank you so much. I appreciate your help.
Doctor :   Thank you
Doctor :   Bye for now
