Doctor :   May I know your age and gender?
Doctor :   Do you have any other medical illness such as diabetes/hypertension?
User :   i am male, age 31
User :   No
Doctor :   Have you seen a doctor or tried any medical drugs for your current symptoms?
User :   just had a paracetamol in the evening after dinner.. not seen a doctor yet.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me brief you.
User :   i had sinarest which has 500 mg paracetamol.. also releives sinus issues.
User :   as yesterday was feeling a bit heavy in my eyes.
Doctor :   Based on your description, the cause for your symptoms is probably a viral upper respiratory tract infection.
Doctor :   I shall suggest you few measures that you can follow.
Doctor :   1. Continue with your present medications Tab sinarest twice daily.
Doctor :   2. Use paracetemol tablets if your fever goes high.
Doctor :   3. Use steam inhalation thrice daily for 2 - 3 days.
Doctor :   4. Watch out for few symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, sorethroat.
Doctor :   If such symptoms develop then you need antibiotics, hence
User :   didn't receive any message.
Doctor :   in such circumstances, you need to see a doctor for obtaining the antibiotics.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   should i have sinarest, or should i try crocin ?
Doctor :   Sinarest helps both for fever and nasal congestions which is more effective for a sinus problem, than paracetamol.
User :   also, anything serious, as i have aversion to have antibiotics, as whenever i have antibiotics, my stomach throws up.. hence i choose to rest and limit myself to paracetamol. can you tell me, if the fever doesn't go down today.. should i consult the doctor and take anti-biotics ?
Doctor :   However, if fever still remains high inspite of sinarest, then you can add crocin to your medical drugs.
Doctor :   Its probably viral in nature now.
Doctor :   and you don't need antibiotics as of now.
Doctor :   However,
Doctor :   upper respiratory illness have a reputation to get secondary bacterial infection.
Doctor :   Hence watch out for the symptoms that I had mentioned.
Doctor :   Those are few common symptoms of secondary bacterial infection.
Doctor :   if you develop those, you may need antibiotics then.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   ok, for my stomach.. should i take some medicine ?
User :   eno ?
Doctor :   You can use syp gelusil if you have burning sensation of the stomach.
Doctor :   That should take care.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   One more query which is not linked.. i have been getting a lot of rashes on my forehead..
User :   can you advice some assistance on the same.. its like small dots.. on my forehead.
Doctor :   Do you mean acne?
Doctor :   I mean pimples?
User :   no pimples.. very small dots.. not black as acne.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   its like small heat boils.. not sure what they are..
User :   my wife says.. its rashes..
Doctor :   Since when are you having these rashes?
Doctor :   Do you have itching/burning sensation associated with those rashes?
User :   no.
Doctor :   Since when are you having these rashes?
User :   its been 1 month.
Doctor :   Have you seen a doctor or tried any treatment for these rashes?
User :   no
Doctor :   Ok
User :   i am not good at visiting doctors. until its really bad.
Doctor :   Let me brief you.
User :   maybe now i will trouble doctors like you online more often :)
Doctor :   You are welcome any time to visit us.
Doctor :   But for your current dermatological problem, since I am unable to visually examine those rashes, I am unable to pinpoint the exact cause for the rashes.
Doctor :   The probably cause, based on your description, is allergic rashes
Doctor :   probably secondary to the dust and other environmental factors.
Doctor :   I will suggest you few measures that should help you
User :   sure..
Doctor :   1. Keep the areas clean and moistured.
Doctor :   2. Avoid handling those lesions with bare hands.
Doctor :   3. Restrict washing those areas with soap regularly(not more than twice a day)
User :   should i apply moisturisers ?
Doctor :   4. Avoid harsh soap products instead you may use soft products such as dove soaps or face washes for washing your face.
Doctor :   Yes, applying moisturisers would definitely benefit.
User :   ok.
Doctor :   5. Watch out for any specific allergies that you may have.
Doctor :   These rashes should be better with these measures, however, if they are persistant, or you notice any symptoms such as itching, burning sensation, pus pointing from these lesions, you may have to see a dermatologist for a physical examination.
Doctor :   You may need specific creams(antihistaminics/steroid creams with antibiotics)
Doctor :   in those cases.
User :   ok.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   no doctor.. thanks a lot for your advice.
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me. Bye for now.
User :   bye, have a nice day
Doctor :   Wish you good health. Have a great day!!
