Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   let me read what you have typed.
Doctor :   since when have you made the changes in your medications?
User :   About 7 days back.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   are you continuing to follow diet cahges?
Doctor :   are you regular with exercies?
Doctor :   *changes
Doctor :   *exercises
User :   Not so regular but yes.
Doctor :   ok.
Doctor :   when teh oral medications fail to achieve good sugar control, the sugar control shoul dbe done with providing external insulin
Doctor :   if you have been regular with your medications,
Doctor :   i owuld recommend you to be strict with diet and exercises too for this one more week
Doctor :   and repeat the FBS and PPBS blood test alone with urine sugar
User :   yes. very regular. I dont smoke & drink also.
Doctor :   to see if the present changes are working for you
Doctor :   if not, then discuss with your doctor about starting insulin to get your sugars under control
Doctor :   you can also take help and second opinion about your sugar status from our panel specialists
User :   I dont want insulin at the moment because of it's problem & pain.
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW Doctor :   this link is to consult a diabetologist from our specialist panel
Doctor :   the problem and pain is due to teh nerves getting damages due to high sugar levels, once your sugar levels are controlled, the pain will come down
Doctor :   so it is important that the sugars get controlled
User :   how i can take a second opinion ? can I scan & send the detail scan copy of the reports ?
Doctor :   and if with the conventional treatment, diet and exercise it is not happening, then external insulin is a must.
Doctor :   yes, you can send your scanned reports to YYYY@YYYY
Doctor :   and request for the second opinion from diabetologist by following the link I gave you earlier.
Doctor :   you can choose between a e-mial answer and a phone answer
Doctor :   the phone cal is done by the specialist you need not spend on it.
User :   How you suggest me to go for insulin without knowing the detail report. Is there no oral medicines for Blood sugar other than GALVUS MET?
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
Doctor :   with the history and the medication details you gave me, and that fact that your sugar level levels are stil high and not controlled, suggest that the conventional treatment is not working for you.
Doctor :   and the only option left is external insulin when the medical treatment does not work
Doctor :   I suggested you a second opinion to have a clearer picture of what is happening and take informed decision on further treatment
User :   Yes. I have followed. I also think to take a second opinion. I only wanted to know whether Galvus met is the only medicine & this has to be continued with stomach problem ?
Doctor :   you have already been on glimmer & piogen M-30. and on galvus met. and now you are taking GemerForte-1 once daily before dinner & Piomed mg-.2
Doctor :   if these also do not work for as evidenced by the repeat tests and diet and exercises suggested after 1 more week,
Doctor :   then it will be due to the oral medications not working
Doctor :   the glavus met does produce gastritis
Doctor :   and your stomach problems can be attributed to it
Doctor :   have the stomach problems subsided or reduced after starting GemerForte-1 & Piomed mg-.2
Doctor :   ?
User :   Yes. It has subsided. can you not suggest any medicine other than the one I am using ?
Doctor :   you have already changed to GemerForte-1 & Piomed mg-.2 one week before, so i would recommend you to continue it for another 1 week
Doctor :   and see if they are working
Doctor :   by doing repeat FBS, and PPBS along with urine tests
Doctor :   if they still not control the sugar levels then go ahead with taking second opinion on starting with insulin
Doctor :   if the present medications control your sugars, then continue taking them and follow strict diet control and exercise regime.
User :   o.k. Due you think insulin is the only answer if blood sugar does not get controlled ?
Doctor :   could be, as insulin is teh main hormone to control sugar levels.
Doctor :   in diabetes the receptors to insulin do not work even though the insulin is getting produced by the body, so
Doctor :   if the medications are given like glimmer, pioz, glavus, glycomet, they aid in making the insulin that is produced by body work to socntrol the sugar levels
Doctor :   but when there is no insulin produced or less insulin produced, then these medications fail to work
Doctor :   and external insulin becomes necessary to get sugars under control
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
Doctor :   are you there?
