User :   I have been having problems with uncontrolled Blood glucose levels.

User :   For about 2-3 weeks now. They range in the 200-300 levels

User :   Age 22
User :   I am 22 y/o single female, In New Jersey, I am an EMT, I am 5"3' and weigh 165lbs.

Doctor :   did u get tested for diabetes anytime?
User :   My A1c was 4.5 three months ago now it is above 6. My fasting gluscose was 186. My urine glucose was over 500

Doctor :   r u taking any medication for the same?
User :   I have never been diagnosis with diabetes. I have had problems off and on since I was 13.
User :   I have tried Actos, Metformin and glimepiride. The metformin made me sick. The other two do not seem to be helping at all.

User :   I almost collapsed at work and was taken to the ER. My vision was blurry, I couldn't think and I had a severe headache.
User :   No fever

Doctor :   then u might need insulin therapy
Doctor :   if the sugar levels are not coming down with oral hypoglycemics
Doctor :   also u need to have strict diet control
Doctor :   r u able to devout some time for urself
Doctor :   u need to exercise as well
User :   I asked the dotor about that and he said that he would rather me run high because of myjob. I told him that I couldn't handle it being high.

User :   I am on a strict diet I do not eat sugared foods. I also exersice 3-4 times a week.

Doctor :   any time kidney profile was done
Doctor :   did they check ur ketone bodies in urine
User :   I have blurred vision off and on. I have not had any kidney tests done.
Doctor :   since ur sugars are high
Doctor :   u may need to check ur kidney status as well
User :   They did not check for ketones they just told me that the urine glucose was over 500.
Doctor :   i would suggest u to consult an endocrinologist and u may need insulin replacement

User :   I can't get in to see on for two months. They are all booked. Can this wait that long?
Doctor :   nope u need to see at the earliest
Doctor :   iam concerned about ur health

User :   Should I try another family doctor since I can not get through to the one I see now
