Hi I am 39 YR OLD MALE Single from Delhi. I am suffering from Hypothyroid since 8 yrs. My T3 and T4 are always normal. TSH keep varying ,therefore I am taking eltroxin 100 MCG now. I started with 50 mcg ,then went on to take 75 mcg . and now am taking 100 mcg. My Tsh is sometimes normal and sometimes high.
Even when I am taking eltorxin 100 MCG,and when My TSH is normal, I feel tired, exhausted without doing any work, feel sleepy during daytimes, have constipation, anxiety, boredom, feel cold, nervous, weight continuously gaining, excited, depression, day dreaming etc.
What is the solution despite taking eltroxin daily and having normal T3,T4 and TSH Levels? pls suggest

Doctor :
There is no cure for Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

Doctor :   There is no way to know how long the autoimmune process and inflammation will continue. In the vast majority of patients, hypothyroidism results from the inflammatory process.
Doctor :   Without medication, there is very little chance the thyroid would be able to maintain hormone levels within the normal range, and symptoms and signs of hypothyroidism would occur or worsen.
Doctor :   the only treatment option left is ..harmonal replacement
Doctor :
if u still face problem then u should change the dosage

User :   Helo Doctor you there
Doctor :
not likely that they should affect it. what is the cause they have diagnosed for the recurrent varicocele?
User :   well they r unable to find any cause. maybe constipation but not sure
Doctor :   is it varicocele or hydrocele?
User :   it is Left vARICOCELE AND MILD HYDROCELE ON THE RIGHT
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
Varicoceles are abnormal enlargements (dilations) of the pampiniform plexus of veins within the scrotum.
Doctor :   Varicoceles are more common on the left groin than the right. This is due to the anatomical differences in the origin of the testicular veins.
Doctor :   A hydrocele testis is the accumulation of fluids around a testicle, and is fairly common.
User :   ok what can be the solution for these problems
Doctor :   a hydrocele can be the result of a plugged inguinal lymphatic system caused by repeated chronic infection
Doctor :   solution is to find the cause and treat it
Doctor :
get a examination done by a Urologist
User :   so should i go for a surgery for my left varicocle
Doctor :
and the necessary investigations like doppler ultratsound and other tests
Doctor :
to determine the cause
Doctor :
and start appropriate treatment
Doctor :
for varicocele, o medical therapies are available for either treatment or prevention;
User :   is there any permanent solution for it or it starts reoccuring
Doctor :   Treatment of varicoceles varies from open surgery to refined radiological destruction techniques.
Doctor :   The surgery for varicocele treatment is considered minor in nature and the incision is small. The majority of individuals recover rapidly. Can return to work in 48 hours.
Doctor :   All the operative techniques show a good response

User :   which is the best technique for Varicocle problem now in modern scince
Doctor :   Surgical treatment is shown to improve fertility rates also
Doctor :
Surgery combined with radiological embolization.
User :   laproscopic surgery or microscopic surgery
Doctor :
Get a examination done for both varicocele and hydrocele, and depending on the extend of the problem
Doctor :
appropriate surgical and/or radiological approach will be done for you
Doctor :
it depends on what the urologist concludes after the examination and investigations
User :   i have had it done it is showing 2nd -3 rd grade left varicocele and mild hyrodcele
User :   which surgery is best with low cases of reccurnce eg microscopic or any other
Doctor :
The surgery is done under anesthesia and is an outpatient procedure. and today, smaller micro invasive procedures have also been developed which only require 1-2 small incisions.
Doctor :   using a high magnification loops during surgery allows for better visualization and identification of these venous clumps to the doctor.
User :   so microscopic is the best right now
Doctor :
but this depends on the availability and usage of the doctor performing the surgery
User :   can you suggest good varicocele surgeons for this surgery
Doctor :
microscopic is good as it enables better visaualization of even smaller venous clumps
