User :   Hello Doctor, can my husband take 1 amoxicillin-and-2 benadryls? He has a lymph nod from his previous ear infection.
Doctor :   HI,
Doctor :   May I know who prescribed Amoxicillin ?
User :   No one but I had some that I thought he might be able to use
Doctor :   \No, please avoid takin , as it is a antibiotic
Doctor :   it can create resistance , and it may not work in him in future infection if taken wrongly
User :   ok but he can still take it just not back to back right?
Doctor :   I didnt understand
User :   What should he take for his lymph nod then?
Doctor :   can you lease explain me ?
Doctor :   ok, is the lymph node painfull ?
User :   Can he take the amoxicillin tomorrow then or don't take it all? That's my question
Doctor :   No, avoid it completely
User :   The lymph nod isn't painful and the ear infection is gone
Doctor :   do not take any antibiotic unless the infection in the ear is confirmed by an Specialist after examination
User :   oh ok
Doctor :   if no pain and no infection , then there is no need of AMOX,
User :   Is it possible for the ear infection to be lingering around without pain?
Doctor :   the lymph nodes do swell even after the infection is gone , it happens as a response to immune remodelation
User :   So how can we treat the lymph nod?
Doctor :   yes,
Doctor :   the ear infection has high chance of recurrence
Doctor :   hence get examined frequently
User :   oh I see, well he wants to know what's the worst it could be if he takes the amoxicillan anyway tomorrow. He really thinks that the ear infection hasn't left all the way
Doctor :   just confirm the fact that the infection is still present, if its present then he may need a newer antibiotic than a amok which has failed if it reoccu
Doctor :   amox*
User :   ok Well he never took it yet to know if it will work or fail. He only took 2 Benadryls and that's it. I personally suggested the amox because it treats ear infections which he had but doesn't know if it's completely gone yet. Can he still just take it just to be safe?
Doctor :   no, please do not take antibiotics unless examined
Doctor :   as there are different class of antibiotics for different type of infections
User :   oh well he'll get examined then
Doctor :   yes, thats right
User :   Well that's all I wanted to know Doctor, thank you so very much! Happy Holiday!!
User :   I greatly appreciate all your help!
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
Doctor :   Bye for now
Doctor :   take care
User :   ok bye bye
