Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello
User :   here is my question, I have been treating an Onychomycosis of the finger nails for 2 months with daily intake of terbinafine 250mg + ciclopirox nail lacquer every nite. I have seen some improvement after the first month and since then i feel that there is no progress. My dermatologist advised me to go on 2 more months with the treatment. Can i take fluconazole once a week 300mg on top of the daily terbinafine, to cover a wider spectrum?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   u can
Doctor :   thats the recommended regimen
User :   i was worry about the hepatic toxicity
User :   so i can take the fluconazole at the same time once a week for the remaining part (2 months of the treatment)?
Doctor :   i single dose in a week has nothing to worry
User :   ok, thats good
User :   i usually take the terbinafine pill at night, i'll pop in the flucanozole at the same time then, or is it better to take it hours before/after?
Doctor :   u can take it at different times
User :   ok thank you
User :   very helpful
Doctor :   u r welcome
