Doctor :   Let me explain it to you.
Doctor :   Your symptoms are suggestive of an inflammatory process.
Doctor :   Probably an inflammed hairfollicle or sweatgland.
Doctor :   You would need an examination from a doctor to rule the possibility of an infective cause, in which case you would be needing specific antibiotics.
Doctor :   In the meantime, I suggest you to use hot water fomentation.
Doctor :   Do not manipulate the lump with bare hands or with any other instruments and definitely no shave till this improves.
Doctor :   It appears to be a benign problem, hence do not get panicked.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   I've been manipulating it all day because I am worried. I will go and wash it now
User :   yes i have, thank you
User :   what leads you to say benign?

Doctor :   A lump such as a breast mass are usually chronic in nature and usually are asymptomatic.
User :   please explain what you mean by chronic?
Doctor :   Hence according to your history, I believe it to be a benign problem/
Doctor :   A chronic lesion is one which has been for a long time probably months.
