User :   My daughter is 10. She has frequent headaches and we found a lump on her neck at her hair line on the right side. It feels like it should be a swollen gland. Could it be anything serious?
Doctor :   hi
User :   Hello
Doctor :   please let me read what you have typed
User :   She gets headaches about twice a week
Doctor :   does she have any other associated symptoms?
User :   She also has a lot of stomach aches, but she has acid reflux
Doctor :   ok. does she have frequent colds and cough?
User :   the lump is about the size of a grape and you can move it
User :   She has had frequent sore throats
Doctor :   ok. is the lump painful? is it soft, firm or hard?
User :   it is soft and not painful and you can move it
Doctor :   then the lump could be inflamed lymph node due to repeated sore throats.
Doctor :   does the headache increase when she bends down?
User :   she said she has had it for a long time, but she just showed it to me tonight
User :   Im not sure if it hurts more if she bends down - she is asleep
Doctor :   ok.
User :   so it is probably ok for me to take her to the doctor within the next few days - I don't need to get her in right away?
Doctor :   no, if the lump is not painful and she is asleep, you can wait till morning
Doctor :   take her to doctor for further evaluation, there might be small lymph nodes more other than this one
User :   Can I wait until the end of the week? I'd rather not take off work, but will if I need to
Doctor :   which will be cleared by examination, and further treatment can be done
Doctor :   if she is fine, without further development of new symptoms or worsening of present ones, you can wait
User :   could it be an aneurysim?
Doctor :   no, it may not be, as it will be associated with severe headaches, vomiting, nausea
Doctor :   diziness, fainting episodes
User :   She hasn't had any of that going on, but the lump may have been there a few months. She did tell me she had a bump a few weeks ago, but I couldn't feel anything then\
Doctor :   ok. it foes not sound to be serious by your description.
User :   Thanks for your help. Did you have any other questions or comments for me?
Doctor :   wait and watch. is she has worsening of symptoms, do not delay taking her to doctor for a thorough examination
User :   OK, thanks!
Doctor :   is there anything else I can help you with?
User :   Not that I can think of. Have a good night.
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me. bye for now.
