User :   I had a head injury a couple of days back
User :   i banged my head real hard on the door of my car
Doctor :   ok. what are your current symptoms?
User :   I got a bump on the left side of my forhead, however I hit my head pretty much on the center of my head
User :   Upon reaching home, i immediately applied ice pack, and was feeling nosia
Doctor :   ok. is there any dizziness, blurry vision, vomiting, nausea, bleeding from ears or nose, any redness in eyes?
User :   nope nothing at all except nausea, which was just temporary, as I generally get motion sickness while in a closed car....
User :   I had my dinner, and after a while i threw up
Doctor :   ok. please describe your current symptoms after teh injury.
Doctor :   have the symptoms improved or are they getting worse?
User :   on and off headache
User :   its not getting worse..
Doctor :   if it is not getting worse, then do not worry. continue to apply the ice packs on the hurt area.
User :   do i require an MRI?
Doctor :   take Tab Prilosec to control gastric issues, take 1 tablet daily on empty stomach
Doctor :   if your symptoms are getting relieved, then you can wait and watch
User :   yes, that was one thing which i am feeling these days, lot of gas in my stomach..
Doctor :   take Tab Dolo 650 mg daily 2 times a day to control headaches
User :   do i need prescription for these tablets?
Doctor :   no, these are OTC drugs, you will not require prescription
User :   Are these available in India
Doctor :   yes these are available in India

User :   what is the reason for the headaches?
Doctor :   if your symptoms start getting worse or if you develop dizziness, blurry vision, vomiting, nausea, bleeding from ears or nose, any redness in eyes
Doctor :   then visit your doctor immediately
Doctor :   the headaches could be due to the impact itself
User :   does this mean that there would be a collection?
Doctor :   it takes sometime to come down
Doctor :   there might be local edema due to injury, but since you do not have any other associated symptoms, it might not be serious like a bleed
User :   I am planning to go for a MRI-Angio
User :   to rule out the possibilities
Doctor :   if 24 hours are passed without your symptoms getting detiorated, it will not be necessary

User :   Doc, i have one more problem

User :   i have flat feet
User :   and i have been having foot related aches and pains on and off
User :   on top of that i have varicose veins
User :   since the past one month
User :   my left foot is swollen - near the toes
User :   and the heel hurts..
User :   every time i put my foot down to walk... it hurts
Doctor :   ok. have you had an examination done to see the stage of varicose viens?
User :   yes..
Doctor :   are you on any prophylactic treatment for it?
User :   no
User :   i ued to wear those stockings.. but the weather here is not conducive to it
User :   so i stopped
Doctor :   you need to wear them to avoid progression
Doctor :   or start with exercises to increase venous retun
User :   yesss i know :(
User :   i do that
Doctor :   if the symptoms do not get controlled, then you need to go ahead with surgery
User :   ]does swimming help?
Doctor :   to some extent. request your doctor for physiotherapy prescription

User :   hmm ok
User :   but what about this pain in my heel and swelling? you think its associated with the varicose veins?
Doctor :   yes, both can be related
Doctor :   varicose veins are known to cause ankle pain and ulcers
User :   okk
Doctor :   the heel pain could be due to the weight and the varicose veins worsening
Doctor :   get these examined to rule out immiment formation of ulcers
User :   am not overweight
User :   i think :)
Doctor :   and get started with prophylactic treatment
User :   ulcers where?
Doctor :   ulcers at the ankle area
User :   would they be visible? as in external?
Doctor :   it can be visible externally if changes are fast
Doctor :   otherwise it is not seen
User :   i dont seem to have any right now.. but will definity consult my physician immediately
User :   what do you mean by changes?
Doctor :   changes in the area due to circulation disturbances and pooling of blood
User :   ohh... ok
Doctor :   that later goes on to form ulcers

User :   any non surgical treatment?
User :   actually this pain and swelling started after i started swimming regularly?
Doctor :   non surgical treatment include stockings, exercises and medications, leg care
Doctor :   avoid activities that aggravate pain and swelling. keep feet elevated when you sit or sleep
