User :   My heel hurts so bad I can bearly stand on it plus my ankle hurts as well, I fell off a porch about two years ago and it hasn't been right since what could it be?

User :   no i did not i didn't feel it appropriate to do so cause it didn't hurt that bad when i did it
Doctor :   There is fascia a called Plantar fascia and if it is inflamed it can cause foor pain
Doctor :   Previous injury in foor leads poor biomechanical balance in the foor which causes pain
User :   could it be a bone spur or a fracture
Doctor :   Running and overstretching can pur strain AChiless tendon can cause foot pain

Doctor :   Yes it could be. It is called Calcaneal spur
Doctor :   This spur presses the fascia and cause inflammation and leads to pain
Doctor :   Because you said it is chronic pain , there is no possibility of fracture
User :   I have had severe pain for almost three weeks now i could just cry it hurts so bad

User :   also it even hurts when i am laying down causes me not to sleep

User :   not that i know of since the fall it always hurt if i turn it a certain way
Doctor :   I think previous injury left some impact on ankle and caused some arthrits
Doctor :   Also some Connective diseases like lupus Rheumatoid arthritis can cause pain
Doctor :   I recommedn you to have some tests done: Rheamatoid factor, ESR, ANA
User :   in the mean time what can i do for the pain
Doctor :   Also get the Xray of the foot and ankle to make sure there are no spurs or arthritis
Doctor :   Avoiding the precipitating activity; for example, take a few day off jogging or prolonged standing/walking.
Doctor :   2.Icing will help to diminish some of the symptoms and control the heel pain.
User :   ive tried ice it doesn't work
Doctor :   3 .Anti-inflammatory medications help to both control pain and decrease inflammation. Over-the-counter medications are usually sufficient
Doctor :   4. Shoe inserts are often the key to successful treatment of plantar fasciitis.
Doctor :   5.Night splints are worn to keep the heel stretched out when you sleep.
User :   ok my job causes me to stand on cement for eight hours and i have shoe inserts but it doesn't seem to help
Doctor :   I think this the reason. you work is causing more gravitation pressure on fascia and causing fascitis
Doctor :   You can weal shoe incerts which reduced pressure on fascia
User :   well i do have inserts but they don't help
Doctor :   If the pain does not get better,1 you may need strong prescription medication
Doctor :   2. You may need steroid injection into the fascia which gives great relief
User :   would a fracture heal itselfs in two years

Doctor :   it takes only 2-3 months to heal
Doctor :   Usually fractures are painful
Doctor :   You might had ankle sprain not fracture
Doctor :   Ankle sprains are common injuries
User :   but would it leave pain for this long

Doctor :   You pain may be coming from platar fascitis from pressure from long standing
Doctor :   Try conservative tips
Doctor :   if does not work get MD help for steroid injection
