User :   pump is for asthama

User :   3 months back
User :   in the last 1 year the capacity of her lungs has deterioted
User :   so she took the pump every day
Doctor :   Ok
User :   also we visit the doc every 3 mths
Doctor :   When was the last spirometry done
Doctor :   Pulmonary testin
User :   then he checks the lung capacity
User :   pulmonary?
User :   there is a graph which is show his reports
Doctor :   Actually these kind of chronic illness are delicately handled
User :   ok
Doctor :   based on the physical findings, persons symptoms and lung function tests
Doctor :   If the doctor thinks the function is deteriorated and the symptoms are too frequent
Doctor :   then switching to steroids is usually done
User :   k
Doctor :   so is there a change when you last met him
User :   the conditions have improved in the last 6 months
User :   he advised to take pump and the nasal spray only
User :   but then there was not permenant cure
User :   so we thought of taking a second opinion
Doctor :   Actually asthma has no complete cure, but only control of the symptoms
User :   ok
User :   but if the need to take the pump has not reduced then we thought of looking for other alternatives
User :   like yoga
User :   or aurveda
User :   so we went to a aurvedic doctor recently
Doctor :   You can contineu with yoga
User :   while we have the option of using the inhailer pump, we are working on yoga and ayurveda
User :   what according to u is the best allopathy or ayurvedic
User :   she is doing yoga everyday since last 25 days
Doctor :   the symptoms should be controled whether it is ayurveda or allopathy
Doctor :   I have no knowledge about ayurveda
User :   ok
Doctor :   as I do not practice it
User :   but in allopathy it has become an adiction
User :   i will tell u an example
User :   she has been taking the pump everyday
User :   ten she started yoda
User :   yoga
Doctor :   In that case, you can ask your doctor to slowly withdraw it if the symptoms are not obvious
User :   after doing yoga over 20 days she felt that she can skip the pump for a day
Doctor :   It does not mean so
User :   then she skips it for a day, but she feels uncomfortable with slightest of wizzzing so
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Yes it is slightly tricky
Doctor :   She should be counseled
User :   hmm
Doctor :   about tolerance of slight symptoms
Doctor :   and able to do breathing exercise slowly during the symptoms
User :   i have spoken to her for last three days about this
User :   now u would be surprised in the last 3 days she has not taken the pump
Doctor :   Good keep counseling her
Doctor :   and she should be able to tolerate the symptoms
User :   she is taking aurvedic medicines since 2 days, and yoga since 25 days
Doctor :   use them only when there are severe symptoms
Doctor :   Ok
User :   like?
Doctor :   wheezing, shortness of breath while doing home activities
Doctor :   palpitations
User :   she says she feels a bit heavy
User :   but she has no wizzing
User :   she is scared if she doesnt know what is happeing
User :   and then she has no time to react
User :   can something like this happen
User :   doctor are u there?
Doctor :   I am not sure about this kind of thing can happen

Doctor :   I think she is more anxious about the occurence of the symptoms than the actual symptoms
User :   ya
Doctor :   I can relate her fear with the anxiety
User :   fear of suffering is worse than suffering itself
Doctor :   yes
User :   thanks doctor
Doctor :   I hope she recovers from this fear soon
Doctor :   Let her continue on this activity
User :   yes she will
User :   i have to be her motivator
Doctor :   and your counselling should allay her fears
Doctor :   That is the best at this point of time
Doctor :   Right
User :   yes doctor
User :   bye doctor
User :   thanks a ton
Doctor :   Thanks
Doctor :   Ofr consulting
