Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
How can I help you?
User :   Im having an issue with my adhd meds-actually i jsut started a chat about this with a doc but it was on my blackberry and it got all messed up and i couldnt see anything so i signed on my pc-is there anyway you can see what i asked before, i give permission if thats an issue
Doctor :   Sure

Doctor :
Give me a minute
Doctor :
I shall go through it
User :   oh thank God-if i had to type all that again i was going to kill myself
Doctor :   No issues

Doctor :   the chats are saved in the chat history
Doctor :
Yes, I went through your long query
User :   sorry so long
Doctor :   No problem

Doctor :
So now you are on adderall amphetamine
User :   yes
Doctor :
and not seeing any improvement right?
User :   no they might as well be tic tacs
Doctor :   Why do you say so?

Doctor :   Are you there?

User :   it's just, even though i currently have my period and know the adhd meds dont work near as well as they normally do for me during this time, I feel NO change and i even upped my dose a bit just to see if it was dose related or if i am some how adderall repellant or something, and it just seems to have NO effect no matter what the dose
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
This is really serious and should be reported to the drug authority
User :   what??
Doctor :   Meaning the drug not working

Doctor :
and is not authentic
User :   oh my God you jsut made me have a mini stroke, i thought i was in trouble
Doctor :   No

Doctor :
Sorry, if I made you panic
Doctor :
I did mention about the drug authority
User :   haha no but its just been that sort of day where that would happen
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
You should calm down
Doctor :
I can understand your condition
Doctor :
But you can voluntarily control your thoughts and emotions
Doctor :
to a certain extent
Doctor :
You should do that
User :   well i've noticed this pretty much since i switched from the xr to the regular, its just i ahve been unemployed and had really NOTHING that mattered so my adhd meds were not a priority on my list to see about
Doctor :
and also are you getting counselling to cope up with your condition?
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :
Yes, it should be dealt with care
Doctor :   Moreover go for the same drug from a different company

Doctor :
there are many good pharma companies
User :   well im looking for a counselor but my case manager is trying to get me approved for medicaid as i got turned dow before cos i make $8 a month too much
Doctor :
and if you are not happy with the current go for a better company
Doctor :
Ok
User :   well i just get what the drug store gives me
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
Do check the company and talk about it to the Pharmacist
User :   and other people online said they had the same experience
Doctor :
there are many generic drugs with equal effects as trade names and still being very cheap
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
So go in for a better company and that drug shall prove beneficial to you
User :   well im afraid too like talk to the company or authorities cos they'll think its like drug-seeking behavior, won't they?
Doctor :   No it is not

Doctor :
You have a prescription right?
User :   well i got it filled, i got it like a week or 2 ago.
Doctor :   Ok

User :   but i think im still interested in the spansules because i dont like the way the im mediate release adderall makes me feel, the wearing off and picking up between doses like disorients me, the long acting made me feel more stable (im bipolar so its important)
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
Yes sustained release is important
Doctor :
but that has to be decided by the Psychiatrist
User :   so what should i do from now till the time i see the new doc?
Doctor :   Continue with the medication which has helped you

Doctor :
if you have the prescription for the same
User :   i dont
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
Without prescription, I do not advise you to take any medications
User :   plus i cant afford it, thats why i had to switch
Doctor :
because it should not be done without a personal consultation
User :   arent there like phone consults or something where i could explain my situation but not have to pay the high price of an office visit
Doctor :   There are

Doctor :
but prescription cannot be given
Doctor :
Sorry for that
User :   are you serious?? i thought that there were services like that, not by you guys but others
Doctor :
No
Doctor :
As per the law and medical ethics, prescription should not be given without examining a patient
User :   oh man that sucks-well they would be examining me just not in person, i mean its not like they need to phiysically examine me right?
Doctor :
It is after a Physical examination
Doctor :
I do not know about the other companies
Doctor :
Here we strictly abide by the rules
Doctor :
and do not encourage such things
User :   aha--i understand and im not asking for illegal actions i just assumed it was the norm, at least in mental health circles
Doctor :   No, those are more delicate

Doctor :
and more strict in any country
User :   ha well in my world in my mind everything seems like it would be easy, that it makes sense so it must be true
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
But I have presented the facts before you
