User :   Hi,My ear has been feeling full the last couple of days. I swim a couple times of week and so I think I have swimmers ears. I bought the appropriate medication for (swim-ear) and have been using it for two days. How long before this stuff works? I'm starting to get worried because my Health Insurance doesnt apply until October 1st and I have no other remedies for now.
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   let me read your query
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   May i know what are your current symptoms
Doctor :   in your ear ?
User :   So what worried me is that as of today I'm having trouble hearing
User :   my ear feels full
User :   and it stings when I chew
Doctor :   any pain in your ear , discharge , cold cough, sorethroat etc ?
Doctor :   and please mention the medicine you are taking as well
User :   No pain. No discharge cold cough of sorethroat
User :   im using swimear
Doctor :   so you just have ear fullness , nothing else, is this right ?
User :   corrrect
Doctor :   what medicine are you taking
User :   its called swimear, eardrops I bought as CVS
User :   and dont forget about the hearing.
Doctor :   ok
User :   fulness of ears and my hearing went down
Doctor :   i guess, you have a blockage in your inner ear tube (eustachian tube in medical terms)
Doctor :   this fullness can be partially releived by a simple maneuver
Doctor :   exhale forcibly while you close your mouth & pinch the nostrils shut.
User :   does this prevent blockage caused by swimming
Doctor :   yes
User :   are there any kind of ear drops you can recommend?
Doctor :   try it now, and let me know
Doctor :   SWIMEAR should help you, by itslef
User :   it popped, and now what?
Doctor :   it will take you a few days as it takes some time, for the inner tube, to get complete relief
Doctor :   so hows your hearing now
Doctor :   so has the ear clear now?
Doctor :   Are you there ?
User :   Its still a bit clogged...but it feels a bit better. So you recommend I keep using the swimear meds?
Doctor :   keep repeating the maneuver, again, if it closes
Doctor :   and over time, it will open by iotself
Doctor :   yes u can use that
User :   ok. thanks. At what point would I need antobiotics?
Doctor :   if u have any dischare and other previous syms i mentioned
