Doctor :   hi
User :   Hello
User :   I am having a pain that comes and goes in my lower left side of my back
Doctor :   ok. since when you are having this problem?
User :   its a slight dull pain but it is just worrisome
User :   Yesterday I had it all day and then it was fine while I slept then late this afternoon I got it again.
Doctor :   please provide your age, height, weight, occupation
User :   32 years old, 225 pounds, 5'1" I work from home
Doctor :   how did the pain start? was there any history of injury?
User :   it just sort of showed up, I cannot think of hurting myself at all. I have also had issues with gastritis and acid reflux and I notice that my whole stomach just feels bad too
Doctor :   does your gastric symptoms and back pain come together?
User :   Well I have not had this back pain before and I have been taking zantac, a total of two times today. I still feel acid in my throat and bloated as well
Doctor :   do you have any other associated symptoms apart from the back pain?
User :   none besides my stomach pains, I have no fever, vomitting issues or anything else.
Doctor :   zantac is a mild acid suppressor, if your symptoms are not controlled with it, consider getting started with Tab Prilosec 2 times a day before food. it is an over the counter medications which has stronger acid suppressing properties
User :   Usually Zantac controlls it but lately it just seems like the acid is worse than usual
Doctor :   sometimes back pain and other joint pains come as associated symptoms of severe gastritis issues
Doctor :   is your back pain radiating to thigh, buttocks?
User :   So if I already took two Zantacs today is it okay to take a Prilosec as well? I am also taking a progesterin only birth control pill that I started a week ago and I am also taking Zoloft that I have taken for about 3 months
Doctor :   you can start with Prilosec tomorrow if you have taken 2 doses already or if 8 hours are up since your last dose of zantac, then you can take one now
User :   No the back pain is just in a small area of my back it feels as though someone is pushing into me maybe two or three times then it goes away for awhile.
User :   I think the area may be around the kidneys but I have no problems urinating, and it is not cloudy at all either.
Doctor :   ok. then for the back pain, you can apply topical liniments like Ice heat, or Tiger balm
Doctor :   when you get the pain
Doctor :   and start with Prilosec 2 times a day
User :   ok I will try the ice heat on my back and see, if it was something more serious than that would there be other symptoms?
Doctor :   maintain good diet, with having 5-6 divided meals
Doctor :   do not leave stomach empty for more than 3 hours
Doctor :   avoid having citrus fruits, restrict use of oild, potato, cabbage, cauliflower, white bread
Doctor :   *oil
Doctor :   if the back had other problems, then pain would be mostly continuous and radiating to upper back, buttock or thighs
User :   so it would not be an issue with my kidneys or appendix or something like that then?
Doctor :   no, you will have other symptoms associated
User :   great, that is a relief I was starting to get worried
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said uptil now?
User :   yes I have
Doctor :   is tehre anything else you would like to ask me?
User :   nope, thank you very much
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me. bye for now.
User :   good bye!
