User :   my mum has swelling on her knee 1 year after her knee total replacement surgery.

User :   she had arthritis really bad in her knee
User :   so the surgeon operated and done a total knee replacement
User :   but the thing she had the original operation in sep 2008
User :   she had a washout in nov 2008

User :   she went to see her surgeon for a check up a few weeks ago

most of the time it is simple rest and leg elevation that is sufficient
User :   when we press the swelling its quite soft
