User :   Hello, I'm an adult who had a tonsillectomy about 24 days ago. All is healing really well. One thing is that [what I think are] the circumvallate papillae all of a sudden can be felt! They feel like a few bumps. I wondered if this is still some trauma from the surgery. I'm quite sure my ENT got a good look at the area and there's no real pathology. Thanks!
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   Hello, doctor.
Doctor :   The circumvallate pappillae are felt normally
User :   Then I was thinking that my tonsils were so big (and they were) that I can now feel things more prominently in the throat area. I never felt these bumps-they feel huge!
Doctor :   How many are there ?
User :   I can feel about (I would say) 2-3, but 1-2 seem more prominent.
Doctor :   do not worry , a minor trauma ( scratch ) can bring swelling in them
Doctor :   it is self limiting
Doctor :   take multivitamins capsules the healing will be fast
User :   I was thinking exactly that. It's a bit annoying, but I'll wait another month and go back to the doctor if nothing has changed. I am taking a good smoothie with lots of vitamins every day. Thanks--
Doctor :   thats good
Doctor :   and do not touch them often
Doctor :   even do not rub them against the palate ofetn
User :   Oh, that's good advice. I'm afraid I'm guilty of that. I'll relax and wait.
Doctor :   you got it right
User :   Thank you, Doctor!
Doctor :   You are wecome
Doctor :   Welcome*
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   Kindly provide your feedback
User :   Ok.
