User :   I sustained an injury to my toe.
Doctor :   Hi...
User :   So I hurt my toe playing basketball last Saturday night
Doctor :   I am doing good
Doctor :   yes i am from
Doctor :   so lets talk about your injury
User :   Fantastic, let's talk turkey. So I landed on this toe and injured it while playing basketball.
Doctor :   may i know your age and gender ?
User :   I'm 19, my name is XXXX. I'm a point guard for the University of AAAAAAA
Doctor :   tell me more about the injury ... was there a wound ? or a internal injury ?
User :   No, no wound. I made a sweet move around a defender, I think it was a crossover, and I landed on it awkwardly.
User :   The school had me walking around in a boot.
Doctor :   are you able to move your toe ?
User :   Not really, it's swollen up like no one business.
Doctor :   so the movement is zero ? or you can a little ?
Doctor :   thats critical to know if you have a fracture or a torn tendon
User :   A little. But see a little is no good because I'm a quick, point-guard. Without my speed, I'm basically a 5'10"
Doctor :   well a little movement gives us the good news that you have not broken it
User :   That's whats up!
Doctor :   how big is the swelling ?
User :   It's not terrible by any means. This guy named XXXXXXXX . came over to my house when I was sleeping and put ice on it. So the swelling has gone way down.
Doctor :   thats a great sign
User :   We got XXX on Saturday. No way we win without me playing. Are there any holistic things I can do?
Doctor :   have you taken any medications ?
User :   Drank a few four lokos after the game, but that just got me hyped up.
Doctor :   i like you take in life
Doctor :   you are full of energy
Doctor :   i dont think any injury can put you down for long
Doctor :   energy 88
Doctor :   **
User :   What's that?
User :   Well my jumper needs help too.
Doctor :   well now lets talk bout RICE
Doctor :   Rest (minimize movement of the injured body part)
Doctor :   Ice (apply a cold pack)
Doctor :   Compression (light pressure wrap to the affected body part can help minimize leakage of blood and swelling)
Doctor :   Elevation (raise the body part up so that the pressure from the blood and tissue swelling the affected area is reduced as the fluids drain from the area by gravity)
Doctor :   this RICE
User :   My man XXXXXXXX looks like he is out for the year with the same injury.
Doctor :   well it will sure take some time to heal
Doctor :   but you need to have patience
User :   You think these guys at XXXX know what they are doing?
Doctor :   well you need to take rest and you can get a splinter to tie around your toe
User :   A splinter?
Doctor :   the medication i have told you will help you ease the pain
Doctor :   and swelling
Doctor :   like a wrap around
User :   Which medication?
User :   I can probably get my hands on some painkillers.
Doctor :   IBUPROFEN 400 MG
User :   What about my jump shot?
User :   You got anyone that can help with that?
Doctor :   i am afraid i cant
Doctor :   just dont worry
Doctor :   you will be fine in no time
Doctor :   its always nice to talk to a pepped up guy like you i wish you a speedy recovery
User :   Thanks Doc, appreciate your help. We are going to have a terrible season without me.
Doctor :   take care
User :   You too
Doctor :   good bye
User :   later
