User :   45
Doctor :   The dose of the medication depend on the age of the patient and the condition?
Doctor :   Ok
User :   are there higher mg of the medicine clindamycin
Doctor :   Since I do not know the type of infection and the severity of infection,
Doctor :   I cannot comment on the exact dose that you need.
User :   this is a private dermatoologist he said it was celluilitis
Doctor :   yes, there are higher doses of clindamycin available
Doctor :   and doses upto 2 gram per day are sometimes prescribed for serious illness.
Doctor :   So I do not think the dose given by your dermatologist is higher.
User :   should i see another doctor
Doctor :   Can you describe the symptoms that you have and may I know what was the diagnoses made by your dermatologist?
User :   or should I go to the VA dermatologist
User :   puffy fluid surrounding by my ear lobe
User :   left side ear
Doctor :   Did the doctor sound like commenting that it was a sebaceous cyst?
Doctor :   * I mean did the doctor say it was a sebaceous cyst?
User :   no he said cellulitiis and put me on the antibiotic
Doctor :   Ok
User :   He did not get great reviews on his website
Doctor :   If it is indeed cellulitis, the draining is necessary if there is an abscess collection.
User :   well I trusted him now I will have to deal with the VA
Doctor :   However sebaceous cyst needs surgical removal
Doctor :   as you have pointed out.
Doctor :   So you can consider taking a second opinion from a dermatologist
Doctor :   if you are not happy with a doctor.
Doctor :   However before I conclude, I shall give you these information.
User :   I was diagnosed with sebaceous acne in the military are the two tie togther
Doctor :   if you are in pain, and there are associated symptoms such as redness, fever and there is a rapid progress of the swelling
User :   no pain no fever
Doctor :   it might be indeed cellulitis.
Doctor :   In the absence of these associated symptoms, cellulitis might be unlikely, and the doctor may have prescribed you the antibiotics to prevent secondary infection.
Doctor :   You can consider consulting a second dermatologist
Doctor :   who after physical examination
Doctor :   will be able to confirm his findings.
Doctor :   Hope it is clear to you.
User :   Are the VA doctors good your opinion of course?
Doctor :   I personally do not have any reviews on the doctors
Doctor :   So I may not be able to provide more information apart from that available on the net.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   VA Hopsital doctors?
