User :   i usually have a cold due to what i suspect working in an AC environment
User :   what do you suggest to overcome this?
Doctor :   Do you have blocked nose or runny nose due to this cold?
User :   blocked
Doctor :   It is a quite a common complaint by many who work in Air conditioned environment
Doctor :   It is because the air that circulates in the closed rooms gathers some particles that triggers the allergic response
Doctor :   The solutions that can help to over come this, is using saline solution, one drop in the blocked nose which dissolves the mucus formed
Doctor :   second, the person should make a conscious effort to go out of the room and inhale free flowing air once every 45 minutes
Doctor :   This kind of activity helps in many ways if the person has chair bound work
User :   ok, is this saline solution available OTC?
Doctor :   Third way is keep oneself hydrated, sipping water
User :   or would i need a prescription from you?
Doctor :   Saline solution can be prepared at home but also available as OTC
Doctor :   Preparing at home is cumbersome thus many people prefer to use readymade preparations
Doctor :   in the form or NASIVION
User :   ok. are frequent headaches also related to this?
Doctor :   Blocked nose can result in headache
Doctor :   But I would also suggest a ENT examination to check for Sinuses
Doctor :   Allergic sinusitis is more often recognised in late stages
Doctor :   If the sinuses are not aerated well, there is accumulation of the particles, debris leading to blockage of sinuses
Doctor :   this results in frequent nasal blockage and headaches
User :   ok, thanks
Doctor :   Did you follow?
User :   yes, thanks
