Doctor :   hi
User :   hi - i am 28 yrs old and i have been on birth control pills for 7 years. The only reason i am on the pill is b/c i donĂ¢??t get my period regularly. I am very athletic and only have 10% body fat. I now want to get pregnant. My question is: should i start trying right after i come off my last pack of pills? or should i wait a month. i figured i may have a better chance of getting pregnant right when i come off the pills.
Doctor :   ok

Doctor :
please give me some time to go through your history
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
what were the pills that you were taking?
Doctor :
and for how long you have been taking them?
User :   does coming off the bill ensure you will ovulate since ovualtion occurs 2 wks after your period?....since the pill will force u to have a period
Doctor :
it depends on what pills you were on, i mean the hormone content of it
Doctor :
if it is the regular birth control pills, then the bleeding occurs due to the withdrawl of th pills hormaones
Doctor :
not due to the ovulation
Doctor :
so in case you were in the estrogen or progesterone pills,
Doctor :
on stopping the pills you will get your periods, which will be a withdrawl bleeding
Doctor :
you will return to your normal fertility
Doctor :
that is the normal release of eggs
Doctor :
it takes anywhere between 3-6 months to return to normal fertility
Doctor :
have you followed what i said?
Doctor :
are you there?
Doctor :
