User :   I have food stuck in my throat it feels like. what do I do??

User :   no its just there
User :   Ive tried throwing it up but it wont come out
User :   it has been there sense i ate spagetti for dinner

Doctor :   ok, i still would suggestyou to visit the ER to rule out the food in the trachea
User :   is that the problem
Doctor :   if its really so you may land up in chocking
User :   Is there any other possibilities?
Doctor :   or else may be a mild irritation of the epiglottis due the food
User :   what are the symptoms for that?
Doctor :   cough but without breathlessness
User :   ok well is there anyway i could try to rule the food out without visiting the ER
Doctor :   ya, gargle the throat with the warm salt water if the irritation comes down then neednot worry

Doctor :   it might be due to throat ( pharyngeal or epiglottis irritation )
User :   alright and what would that feel like in the throat?
Doctor :   feel like something stuck at the root of the tongue
User :   thats exactly what it feels like

Doctor :   then gargle with warm salt water it will help
