Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
how can i help you?
User :   hello
Doctor :
please proceed with your health query
User :   I had a few questions wondering if you could help
Doctor :
ok
User :   I had a sinus headache and sinus infection about a month or two ago...almost sinusitis...
Doctor :
please proceed with the medical queries
Doctor :
ok
User :   a month before this I was laid off of work and as of the last two months I've been stressed out with bills and little money to pay all my bills on time
Doctor :
ok
User :   for the last 5 weeks or so I've had a dull ache behind my ears on both sides of my head, sometimes moves to the crown ...then over my forehead during the day
User :   I've read up on a few things like this
User :   and when I use the sauna at my gym, or take a hot shower, or exercise the ache seems to go away
Doctor :
ok
User :   I've taken advil for it if it seems like an actual headache and it helps for the prescribed period the pills last...but I don't want to constantly take anything to cause more of a "rebound" headache...
Doctor :
ok
User :   lately the ache hasn't been as constant and I was just wondering if you could help with what is going on?
Doctor :
i wil explain
User :   oh and I've had no other symptoms such as dizziness, fever or anything that would signal any other problem
Doctor :
what you have told me, points to probable tension headche or migraine
Doctor :
i wil need to ask a few more questions
User :   ok
Doctor :
can i proceed?
User :   sure
Doctor :
what treatment were you taking for th esinusitis?
Doctor :
have the symptoms resolved after treatment?
User :   nasal spray, xyzal at night,
User :   as far as the sinusitis ..yes they are resolved
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
are you having any symptoms before the start of headaches like nausea, sensitivemness to light?
User :   like a sick feeling in my stomach? no no issues of sickness
Doctor :
have you been able to find out the trigger factors that precipitate the headaches?
User :   no I don't have any interruptions in my daily routine except its just a dull ache...
Doctor :
ok
User :   to me the trigger factor is constant worrying about money factor of not having a job and then on top of that when i got the headaches now just always rubbing my head wondering what's going on...that would be my only guess
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
in that case the probable cause for your headaches is stress
Doctor :
and managing your stresses well will help you in resolving th headche
Doctor :
you can continue to take Advil tablets when you are having severe headaches
Doctor :
or rub topical rubifacients for the headache in other times
User :   I thought that might be the big factor because when I am doing something other than sitting around my house wondering what's going on the ache doesn't seem to be there.. like in the gym or other activities
Doctor :   and practice these following steps which will help you to relax better
Doctor :
yes, that is a good indication
Doctor :
continue to do alternative activities to divert your mind
Doctor :
this will help the headaches also
User :   So a dull ache is common in ... would you call it severe stress headache?
User :   ?
Doctor :   in lay mans words, yes it can be called as stress headache
User :   I've noticed that its just in a few areas and it seems to come and go in the same areas of my head too.. is that common?
Doctor :
shal we go ahead with the stress managing techniques?
User :   Sure
Doctor :
yes it can be common, the stress headaches are known to have such patterns
Doctor :
going ahead with the techniques
Doctor :
1)try and make out the factors which lead to the headcahes or precipitates them
Doctor :
such that you have a list of them and avoid them in future.
Doctor :   2)Take a deep breath, count upto ten when you feel the headaches are starting.
Doctor :   You can also opt for going out for a small walk, stand up and stretch if you are at work
Doctor :
Try to divert your mind, talk to someone near you
Doctor :
3)Try and sleep on the matters that are bothering you, it helps. and remember that every cloud has a silver ling, so you too will hev good times ahead
Doctor :
you need to wait for the right time to come. sometimes things take a longer time to respond
Doctor :
if you can do something in speeding them up then go ahead and do other wise relax. things will happen when bound to happen
User :   I know and hopefully that will be soon, I've just never been out of a job this long and running low on money trying to keep up with all my bills I guess put me in this position...
Doctor :
4) go for gym, sauna, drink plenty of water, about 10-12 glasses per day
Doctor :
do not worry, try for small alternate jobs until you get a good one
User :   and being home now with these headaches that i've never had I just am here usually thinking about what is going on and it keeps it up and doesn't help I'm sure..
Doctor :
which might help you to have some relief for the time being.
Doctor :   5) best thing you can do is stop thinking of the headaches.
Doctor :
know your limitations
Doctor :
you cannot make all things happen, only God can
User :   I know ...and thats probably the one thats easier said than done...with a constant dull ache.. you know what i mean?
Doctor :
there is a small famous prayer that helps
Doctor :
â??God grant me the XXXXXXXX to accept the things I cannot change; The Courage to change the things I can; and the Wisdom to know the difference.â?? You must be knowing this.
Doctor :
the dull constant headaches are a problem, i can understand
Doctor :
take the Advil tablet if not able to tolerate
Doctor :   and apply some Tiger balm to relieve in other times

Doctor :
engage yourself in some other activities.
Doctor :
Is there any thing else I can help you with?
Doctor :   Please fill the feedback form and comment box, say done when done.
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic. Bye for now.
