User :   i have just looked at my penis and there is redness above the uretha and a round very very low raised bump HELP! wat could this be?
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   DR here
User :   hello, i have just looked at my penis under a lamp, there seems to be a round circle, there is a bit of redness above the uretha,
Doctor :   Is it painful ?
User :   i would not class it as a bump
User :   no it is not painful,
Doctor :   Can you explain me its shape and size approximately ?
User :   its a circle just above the tip of the penis, its less that a cm, it does not seem raised and is the the normal colour of the penis head, there is a tiny red dash above the uretha,
Doctor :   Since when do you have this lesion ?
User :   i noticed it last week
User :   it is not at all painful
Doctor :   can you feel it on touch ?
User :   no
User :   it feels smooth but its like a round circle flat
Doctor :   Are you sexually active ?
User :   not really, about 3/4 weeks ago, i recieved a handjob/protected blowjob,
User :   do u think this could be herpes
User :   im very scared
Doctor :   No, i do not think it to be herpes
Doctor :   but cannot rule out primary Syphilis
User :   i also saw a flat red mark in my pubic region
User :   this week which has now dissappeared
User :   it was not itchy or painful, and i applied sudocrem upon it and it dissappeared
Doctor :   ok, i suggest you to rule out the syphilis by getting a VDRL test , if it is negative then only diagnosis which hold s good would be Fungal infection
User :   is syphilis curable
Doctor :   yes,
Doctor :   but should act fast
User :   who should i approach
Doctor :   Visit a Dermatologist , better with the VDRL test report
User :   i think i have swollen lymph nodes
User :   do you think this is related
Doctor :   That adds to both the diagnosis
Doctor :   if there is any infection in the penis the lymph nodes do swell up
User :   in the neck
Doctor :   ok,generalized lymphnadenopathy can be expected in syphilis
User :   a recent blood test has shown raised alt aswell
User :   is syphillis 100% curable
User :   i am very worried now
Doctor :   ok, Alt is not directly related , any stressful condition can raise its level
Doctor :   yes, syphilis is curable
Doctor :   do not worry its just a probable diagnosis , to be ruled out to be safe , get the VDRL test
User :   i have seen the pictures of syphllis my lesion does not seem to resemble
Doctor :   Ok, i suspect primary syphilis
User :   my lesion is very very flat
Doctor :   i suggest you would be safe if once the syphilis is ruled out .
Doctor :   to be on safer side
Doctor :   since its the commonest STD
User :   but im sure i had protected oral sex
Doctor :   ok,
User :   the handjob was not protected
Doctor :   but i suggest to get the test just to be safe
Doctor :   well its good to rule out the commonest illness first
User :   i also have a few other questions?
User :   can raised alt mean any sexual disease
Doctor :   no,
User :   if u have protected sex wat are the chances of hiv
Doctor :   less than 0.1%
User :   very unnlikely
User :   then
Doctor :   yes,
User :   moreover, in relation this lesion i have developed itchyness on my inner thighs, i have just applied sudocrem, but this may have been due to a training session at the gym,
User :   may have been due to becomingvery sweaty at the gym, i have quite alot of body fat, do u think this is at all related
Doctor :   yes, could be. Still the fungal infection is on my list as it is common in areas with more sweat and friction
User :   do u think it is related to syphyllis
Doctor :   no,
Doctor :   since the lesion is painless which is the sign of syphilis i consider it to be ruled out at the earliest
User :   thank god, i have just read elsehwere on the internet, that this flat lesion may relate to herpes
Doctor :   no, herpes lesions are raised vesicles filled with clear fluid or blood
User :   and are they usually painul?
Doctor :   Yes, after the lesions break up leading to ulcers
User :   in my pubic region the other day, i noticed a flat red mark, it was not itchy or painful,
Doctor :   ok,
User :   i applied sudo cream for two days and it dissappeared
Doctor :   was it raised ?
User :   no
Doctor :   Sorry i see you typed flat
Doctor :   it could be a fungal infection
User :   ok i will need to get checked, but it is very embarrasing
User :   lol
Doctor :   Visit a dermatologist , with a report of VDRL test which helps him to confirm the diagnosis
User :   brilliant
Doctor :   Is there anything i can help you with ?
User :   i appreciate your help i have been very worried
User :   i will need to take some course fo action
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me, kindly provide your feedback
User :   thank you
Doctor :   Bye for now
