Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
Doctor :   Since when are you having these episodes?
Doctor :   And for how long do these episodes last?
User :   She' been having these episodes for more than a year, probably two.
User :   They last I believe about 15 or 20 minutes sometimes.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Is she completely normal in between these episodes?
User :   Well, she talks a lot during the day & repeats herself a lot even when not having an episode.
Doctor :   How many such episodes occur in a single day ( the episodes of confusion, slurred speech, facial distortion)?
User :   They only happen after 4:30 or 5pm during the day, & if don't give her food then it just continues & continues. (That's with her eating a normal lunch).
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Have you seen a doctor when she had these episodes?
Doctor :   * I mean has she been evaluated by a doctor whenever she has these episodes?
User :   No, she's resistant to that & thinks she's fine. She's not realizing she's acting drunk, & has no memory of it.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Does she have any other medical illness such as diabetes/hypertension?
Doctor :   Does she have history of convulsions?
Doctor :   Does anyone else in the family have similar episodes/psychiatric illness/seizure disorder?
User :   Her blood pressure stays in low range, 90/60, we don't know if she has diabetes, that's why we're asking what tests to do now? No history of convulsions. Her father was bipolar, & his sister was schizophrenic, and maybe another sister they're not sure about.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Let me explain it to you.
Doctor :   From the history given, it appears that she too has a psychiatric illness, in the form of schizophrenia.
Doctor :   The reduced eating habits can explain the low sugar , the reduced blood pressure and the loss of weight.
Doctor :   Apart from these few other tests that include a complete blood count, thyroid function test would also be needed.
Doctor :   She would need an assessment from a psychiatrist.
Doctor :   Have you followed?
User :   Yes, thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   No, thanks so much.
