User :   I feel like food is stuck in my throat. What can I do to help it go down? Causing pain in my chest and back.

User :   about 30 minutes ago after i ate a couple of bites of cereal

User :   i just took pepcid ac around 7pm could i take a tums? or would that even help?
User :   its 12:19 am where i am now

the belching should be taken care by TUMS. take 1 now.
User :   so the tums is ok to take even though i recently took a pepcid ac? i know it says not to take other antacids with it

since it is almost 6 hours up after you have taken the last medication, you can take one now

User :   i don't think so hoping the warm fluids will help. i have had trouble with this before and have had times where i threw up the food. will mention to my dr.

User :   i also have a hiatel hernia (not sure i spelled that right) and was told that might cause this. is that true?
